A brilliant sequel, effortlessly following on from the preceding novel.
At the end of Brog we see an egg, leftover from the destruction of the Stoop to end the Gorks reign of terror.
Now the egg is hatching and bringing with its birth a new breed of Gork that is impervious to the flaws and limitations of its relatives.
Stronger, vicious and with a natural bloodlust it's ready to take revenge on the Stoop and is already scheming to breed an army of brethren in its quest for domination of Terrawurld.
But Brog is injured and near death, who can lead the Stoop against such a formidable foe?
So often sequels lose the plot and pace of the original but this was a worthy successor and was a credible story to continue the story of the Stoop and Gork.
Perfect fantasy reading.
