WOW!!! I absolutely loved this story and can't wait for the rest of the series. This is not my typical read, but after reading All or Nothing, book 4 of the Colorado Grizzlies series, I was blown away by how amazing her MM scenes were and how connected I felt to the characters. The author does a fantastic job of not only bringing the steamy scenes but building her characters and making you feel everything emotion they are going through. I loved the history between Carter and Davey will tear at your heart and help you understand their beginning struggles in the book. This was a fantastic enemies to lovers and I enjoyed watching Carter and Davey grow from their shared trauma. This book will tear your heart out, make you cry, and piece you back together with hope and love. I am so excited to read more of this series!

So good! I really enjoyed it!!

This book was such a great hockey MM romance about Davey and Carter! I don't read a lot of MM romance but this author did a wonderful job writing these two's romance.

Both Carter and Davey have a past that they share that is dark and affects how they live in the present. There's anger and love mixed in. They both have to work on their issues and learn to love, live, and work through their issues. When they come together, it's beautiful. I loved reading every minute! You really get to see their struggles and how their relationship grows. I also really enjoyed seeing all the other characters included in this book and how they created this family of teammates and friends.

I definitely recommend!

…“Carter makes me feel things, things I probably shouldn’t. But, for the first time, possibly in my life, I feel alive. I feel alive when I look at him. Alive when I think about him, which is admittedly way too much these days.”

If you have kept up with Skylar and her Colorado Grizzlies Series, Davey and Carter are familiar faces. Her new Trust Me Series are MM Interconnected Standalone set in the Colorado Grizzlies world. It’s been a year since Skylar released one of my favorite books All Or Nothing and the wait for Davey was worth every day that passed. This book had me from the beginning. So much emotion pores off the pages. Watching Davey and Carter shed their guilt, embrace happiness, and find peace was hurt your heart angst that I felt in every word. And, Davey letting Carter in because he is the FUCKING reason, gah, I was done for. Skylar I have missed you and your words that seep into my soul as I greedily soak up, consume and devour your books.

Davey and Carter’s story began decades ago in college. And, a tragedy has held both of these men hostage for years. Davey escaped into his hockey career and Carter into the bottle. Now all these years later they are living in the same city because Carter is the architect working on the Grizzlies training facility expansion.

Until now they have managed to keep their past and connection a secret from everyone they love. And, it was easy for Davey to continue to blame Carter.

But, as it all comes to light, Davey is faced with confronting the past. And, realizing hate is not what he feels for Carter.

This author is a favorite of mine for hockey romance- she’s adding MM romance to her plate and I couldn’t be more excited! She was meant to write these stories.

Davey and Carter will give you all the feels- there is some past issues, angst, lust and love. These two deal with some pretty intense stuff but watching them grow and come together was perfect. There is also the perfect amount of spice. This author creates these characters that become like family, I was thrilled to see more of my favorites and meet some new characters. I am looking forward to more from this all new series!

unreadable - DNF

The verb tenses are so all over the place I don’t know how anyone can read this book without wanting their eyes to bleed. Just could not get through it.

Davey and Carter.. oh my heart!
It's been a while since we had something new from the Grizzlies, and this book was absolutely worth the wait!!
We got a look at a bit of the tension between Davey and Carter in Brady's book, All Or Nothing, but that didn't really prepare me fully for the ride these 2 take us on.
I loved the sexual tension, and the smexy times were H O T.
The emotions surrounding the guys' past definitely hit me in the feels, as did their insecurity when it came to how the other felt.
Their love blossomed in such a lovely way though.
This was my first ever full MM book. I so enjoyed it, and am looking forward to the next in the Colorado Grizzlies Trust Me series.
All books in the series will be MM.
While its not necessary to read the Colorado Grizzlies series first, I would personally recommend it otherwise there will be odd bits that don't make total sense. The original series is best read in order too. Absolutely recommend this book, and all of the original series too ❤️

DNF’d with 40 pages left. I just didn’t find their romance believable enough. I wish the author worked more on her characterization otherwise this could’ve been a great romance book!
