Brog 3 Generations

Rate this book
The only unknown section of the Drabwurld, the KA region, wherein live the peaceful and naïve LIBIS species, is under the heel of its cruel and sadistic conquerors, a species from another place, the dreaded BUTAN. If KA is to be freed, and the whole Drabwurld united for the first time in history, Brog and his Stoop must defeat the BUTAN, not only to save the LIBIS from annihilation but to prevent the Great Gloom from being the next victim of the BUTAN oppressors.
Jed and his Humans join with Brog to remove the threat, but it proves to be a mission easier said than done, and even after training the peace-loving LIBIS to fight alongside them for their own survival, the task appears hopeless - until help arrives from an unexpected source, but, even if victory ensues, will the Drabwurld ever be the same again?

As the first person to rate this book I felt the need to write my first review, so here it is!

Brog the Stoop was my favourite book as a kid, and I still own my Point Fantasy copy. The book introduced me to fantasy and I have had a life-long love since. I enjoyed Brog 2 about 10 years ago, and was excited by Brog 3.

The story is good. I enjoyed the exploration of new worlds. It feels like a proper fantasy book, though clearly for kids. However the issues come with the quality of the book. There are loads of spelling errors, names change, and names are incorrectly used (confusion of the protagonist of a scene or even a species). The book hasn’t been properly proof-read. The biggest concern was a major continuity error in the middle of the book. Chapter 13 in Brog 3 is actually chapter 11 in Brog 2. I’m not sure how or why this error happened in my printing, but it was very confusing.

In short, do read this book, especially if you’re a fan of Brog, but ignore chapter 13!
