Eccentric, bookish and downright boring —Zanny Starquist knows exactly what people say about her. An omega who graduated with a doctorate in herbology at just nineteen, she's devoted her career to formulating a natural herb-based vaccine to empower people like herself to go beyond the constraints of their heats, and she's as close as she can ever be.
All she needs is one last herb from the sacred bowers of the lower Nestian mountain tribe of Clovend.
Azura has held the honor of being Chieftain of Clovend for the past twenty years. The tribe respects and adores her, but most importantly, they trust in her ability to keep them safe. After the death of her Mate several years before, the Alpha believes her time for romance is over. She's older now. Wiser. Too practical to be punched in the gut by pale freckles and fiery curls on first sight. Or so she tells herself.
As Zanny works her wide-eyed charm on the unsuspecting Chieftain, Azura's enemies watch from afar, knowing exactly where to strike so that it hurts her the most.
This book was AMAZING! Like jaw-dropping beautiful. Zanny - my sweet, sweet Zanny - I want to protect her with my everything. And Azura - infuriating, but her actions are completely understandable - she's just someone who was raised to protect her heart. This is one of the most beautiful love stories I have read. Zanny was a favourite of mine in book 3, and seeing her have her own beautiful, awkward, romantic story really made my day. And yet again, recurring characters from the previous books always brings a huge smile to my face. We see more of Thea's and Jamie's relationship, and boy, they have not lost their playfulness, and it makes my hopeless romantic heart soar with happiness!
Lily X is fast becoming one of my favourite authors. Forever Yours was another cracking story in the Seventh Star series and if you are a fan of the Omegaverse she is n author you should give your time to.
Zanny and Azura are a brilliantly written couple that you would not have seen coming. Their supporting cast are also there to tell them the truth and give them the proverbial smack that they need. It’s a tale of does the geek get the jock? Absolutely loved it!!
Lily X ruined my life with omegaverse (in an amazing way) and i really though i couldnt be more ruined since Zenith but holy shit Zanny is such a nerd, cutie omega and Azura being so soft for her is everything.
I agree with others about the ended though. Needed an epilogue for sure.
Who knew that this little red bawling omega baby girl that was so fitful and gave Jaid the blues when she was born, wet-nursed by High Consort Aeryn, and a huge crush on Yogi who chose her best-friend the Princess would become my most favorite person? Well, right after Chieftain Azura Blackrock that is! Chieftain Blackrock became my most favorite character just as Thea did whom is the Sire of Zanny.
I was the least interested in a story about Zanny. She was too odd and kooky. And that is probably why she didn’t interest me until she laid her eyes on the Chief. And the Chief told her to come talk to her face to face, I was frozen in place just like Zanny. And the unexpectedly forward Zanny told the Chief, “This is when you’re supposed to kiss me” and I knew Zanny was someone not to be overlooked and there was more depth to her than our introduction to her from book two “Never Yours.”
Zanny beat my love and admiration for Yogi. Yogi would have been a decent match for Zanny, except she was too similar to Zanny. And in the end they would have never been a match made by the Goddess. They have too similar mate styles. They’re care-takers in relationships. They’re the lifeblood in the relationships, the glue that makes and keeps them vibrant and healthy. Zanny has Jaid’s crazy boldness as an omega, but has her Sire Thea’s unending devotion and finesse for slipping into the heart deeply for those unawares.
When Zanny set her eyes on Azura, she never stood a chance. This young bright girl kept surprising the Chief time after time. And when Zanny caught wind of the Chief’s “special predicament” she rushed and stood up amongst all those other omegas to put claim to what she had already felt was hers and hers alone to claim and be claimed.
Zanny’s boldness and sexiness melted the “Ice Queen” and for the woman of her dreams. Someone that anyone could see would be hard to obtain. This woman had had a mate. This woman had spent the last five years untouched and unbothered by it. Until her true life’s mate arrived in this tiny brainy owl-eyed girl with curls that was set aflame.
There is still one thing from the past that still unsettles me and that is Ris. I still don’t know where to place her in my mind. She is Zanny’s BFF. And she is also somewhat of a busybody in Zanny’s life as well as others. This whole Yogi thing that happened in book three still sits very prickly in my heart. I know how things went down with Ris and Yogi. I even know that Zanny really never stood a chance. But still…that’s an ouch situation nonetheless.
And as much as I enjoyed book three “I’m Yours” and those steamy sex scenes they’re beat out by the sizzle between Zanny and her Alpha Mine. The bathing pool and the desk…”whew wee!! This Chieftan flings Zanny through the air and onto a horse and tells Zanny’s overprotective bodyguard to stand down. This woman goes riding in on a horse to save the woman she loves twice. What’s sexier than that? This barefoot Warrior Chieftain is why Zanny was bold in her pursuit and claiming and why she was hurt to her very core when she was ripped away. This Chieftain did and said things she had never done in all her 40 years when it came to Zanny. They were both two extraordinary characters once their “mates” came into their lives.
Love this amazing series. This book was ok but not as mindblowing as the 1st 2 releases. Preview of book 5 has got me intrigued and pls don't let us wait so long again. Book 4 could have don't with some more steamy scenes.
“Happiness is a tricky thing (...) Some find debilitating sadness in its pursuit.”
I just can't.
If you are giving me deliciously depraved ruts and the deflowering of an omega, you aren't allowed to throw poignantly crafted life lessons accompanied by life-altering quotes amidst more steamy smut.
Crap on a cracker- I'm so tired.
My eyeballs were all dilated and my heart rate was fluxing with all the rutty goodness. Then my jaw smacked my feet when there was a friggin story, with a plot, character arcs, world building, expansions from the first couple Seventh Star books and cameos from my faves.
Yeah yeah yeah. I was already a fan, but holy buckets batwoman... roll a ... lavender herbed treat... and lemme catch my damn breath before you nail me with another book.
Oh. Wait. There's another book. Excuse me while I pop a pill.
Lily X Forever Yours - Lesbian Omegaverse Fantasy Romance (Seventh Star Series Book 4)
They said that comparison was the thief of joy
Zanny was overwhelmed with feelings of confusion and disorientation as her best friend discovered her two perfect partners. While her friend basked in happiness and comfort, Zanny couldn't help but wonder why she hadn't found the same. Ris embodied everything she longed to be, but she knew comparing herself to others was a dangerous path to tread.
I must admit, I found this series incredibly captivating and enjoyable to read. The bond between Nyx and his Sire was truly remarkable. Azura and Zanny were undeniably meant for each other, both needing love and companionship, someone who truly understood them on a profound level. Zanny possessed an uncanny ability to see through everything.
The entire story had me hooked and fully engaged. I particularly loved the age gap trope, making it one of my favorite books in the series, second only to the first one.
As usual, brilliant F/F omegaverse writing by LilyX. I honestly found myself really enjoying this installment until the end…the ending felt so abrupt. The main conflict of the story can be summed up in two questions: “can the age gap between the characters work?” and “can Azura Keep Zanny safe while she’s away from home?”The ending seemed to ignore these conflicts and ends without a discussion or showing of either of these things. There are also other unanswered questions: do they ever fully mate/bond, does Zanny go back to Azura’s tribe? What about the vaccine?
I feel like the previous books in the series gave you a nice little summary of what happens in either the immediate or near future and this one gave no resolution other than “let’s kiss and make up” and even that felt abrupt.
Again, I enjoyed the story but I feel like it could’ve ended a bit neater.
I kinda expected more from Zanny. Like I’m autistic and when I read the third book I thought she was like me but now..not that much. And wasn’t the bodyguards supposed to protect her?! The blond one literally just let her go with an Alpha in a rut. Like PROTECT HER! But there was some groveling NOT ENOUGH but still. She did have the self respect to actually not take the Alpha back right away. Out of all the books I’ve read in this series only one ☝🏾 of them did the omega have sex with others before their alpha and that book was my favorite. I wonder why. I would love for the alpha for once being the virgin one. And the omega the experienced one. Okay I think that’s all for me. I’m happy for Zanny and the age gap is kinda hot but that’s probably because I have mommy issues.

This book is what a nerdy weird awkward girl like me loves to read. Zanny is that embodiment of just how all of us bookish girls are just romantics at hearts. Azura is exactly the big dummy that we hate to love and always end up with/wanting.
My only issue with this book is that there is no Epilogue like the other ones…I want to know what happen after the end? Did Onyx become the cheifian or did he go to school? Did zanny complete her vaccine for the omega?? So many unanswered ever after questions.
Brilliant. I've been looking forward to Zanny's book and I only waited because I knew I wanted to at least have one more Seventh Star/Lily X masterpiece to read after it. Azura and Zanny were so perfectly compatible and complementary to eachother as far as personalities and dispositions- it was a beautiful love story. I can't wait to see what book 5 of Seventh Star will bring. This whole series is just incredible. Well done Ms X 👏🏽
Zanny went on an expedition, and as fate would have it got more than she bargained for. Azura, the chieftain of Glovden had closed heart to any and all feelings after the death of her mate. Little did she know that fate was about to mix up her life.
Zanny and Azura gas a conection from the first moment they met. Yes, they had to overcome some difficulties, but in the end it all worked out.
I absolutely adored these two! What really bothered me was the ending, I thought it was rushed. These two are my favorite couple, I wished we got at least an epilogue...
Something else that I can't wrap my mind around is: where's Hana? I read her book before reading this one so I know she's close to Zanny in Clovend, so where was she when her friend's daughter is kidnapped??????

Zanny is one of favourite characters and I knew she was going to a firecracker, I love the awkward side of her and that she went for what she wanted with no remorse. Azura is exactly who I would see Zanny with, the supporting cast was fantastic as always. Was a little let down with the predictable heartbreak and was glad for the happy ending. Another stellar book for the series.

Quirky, sensual and adventurous installment of this fantasy filled romance. Brings forth an age gap romance of finding your person in a far away world. Sometimes, i’m doing so, helps you find your authentic self.
My favorite of the series. The couple worked really well and i liked both characters a lot. I thought the ending should have been longer though, it was really abrupt. We didnt get to see anything after they got back together.
The books in this serie are just getting better and better ! Azura and Zanny really were a match made in heaven! I just loved their dynamics, it was an insanely sweet love story, my favorites.
age-gaps (w/o minors tyvm) are hot. Though, I wanted more from the ending, I feel like it ended abruptly compared to the previous books in this series.
