I have been sitting here trying to figure out the best way to write about this book, and I'm forced to simply say that it's beautifully sweet and romantic. There's a lot going on - the stark contrast between how Korn and In were treated versus Pharm and Dean just based on forty-odd years passing and society evolving is an excellent throughline - but really, the reason you should pick this series up comes down to one thing: just watching two people be happy.

My heart is fluttering. 💞😭 Iono if there will be another volume, but I’m content with this being an ending. My mind really was taking me to the pessimistic stance that “history will repeat itself, in a bad way.” I just want these boys to be happy. This was such a sweet romance, and I just loved the wholesomeness of all the interactions with the secondary characters. Though, it did weird me out that some people were taking photos of the boys, and speculating they’re relationship, within the early stages too. So that was strange, but I guess that got the story to move along at a quicker pace. 🤔 I know they did it “in good fun,” but I’m just NOT for spying on and taking/posting photos of people without their consent, and having a whole online debate whether the main characters are seeing each other. 🙅‍♀️ I’m curious about the tv series, because I’m sure there will be more drama. So I should consume that at some point. But I loved this volume. The art is superb. The gradual hand holding and the kissing scenes. 🤌🏻 LOVE. 🥰
Curious if there is more to come or if this is the end. 🤧

This book was just as incredibly sweet as the first. As they get to know each other, flashes of their past life come to them, making both boys start to realize that they have known one another and been in love before. 😱😍

I'm actually really surprised by how much I liked this volume. I think someone who likes fated soulmates and reincarnation as a concept (which I don't particularly) will resonate a lot with this series. Those are the only parts I was still struggling with, and that's not a flaw in the narrative - just a personal preference.

It makes me sad, still, that In and Korn didn't find happiness in their own timeline, and being reborn into new lives and new personalities isn't a complete fix for me. There's still mourning that goes into the lost time, and some questioning about whether they love each other for their current selves or their past memories.

But! This volume does a good job of showing the development between Dean and Pharm, with the two of them going on dates and really getting to know and like each other in the present day. I appreciated that. It's interesting because I'm not sure if Dean and Korn are much different - but Pharm does feel like a pretty different person than In. I like them both, for different reasons, but those divisions do split out Korn's love for In vs Dean's love for Pharm. I'm not sure why that choice was made; it does feel like I'm reading two love stories instead of a single one that carries across lifetimes.

I liked the explanation of the red thread in this volume, though, specifically with Korn and In's choices leading them to being able to meet again as Dean and Pharm. I'm glad they were reborn into families that care for and protect them in ways their old ones didn't. And they have a wide network of friends this time around, too, which didn't seem to be the same for In and Korn. They loved each other deeply, but they were very alone.

Will their past lives flashbacks cause any problems in this current timeline, though? Dean's already almost crashed his car because one happened while he was driving, which is troubling. I don't know if that's going to be an ongoing plot point. Or what is happening with the ongoing story - it seems that we're not stopping after two volumes, but I'm not sure if a third one has come out yet, even in its original language?

If not, or if it takes forever, this one does conclude in a pretty satisfying way, so it wouldn't be the worst way to end it.

THEY HAVE BIRTHMARKS FROM THE GUNSHOTS IN THEIR PREVIOUS LIVES!?!?!?!?

I really like this series. Sure, it has problems, mostly with pacing and being insanely jumpy in the way it moves from scene to scene, but it just feels so warm... which feels strange to say given the premise. I love how supportive everyone is of everyone else. I love how considerate and sweet everyone is. I love how interconnected all of the cast is (and I really hope we get to see that they're also connected to Korn and In's past family as well). Can't wait to see where this goes and to have Pharm and Dean continue to discover what happened in the past.

I also really wanna learn how to make some traditional Thai sweets.......

Love that lasts through multiple lifetimes is just so deeply romantic, it makes me swoon. The connection between the main couple is very sweet and the all side characters are nice. Hopefully we get to see them get fleshed out a bit more too.

It’s so hard to properly rate this because I love the tv show so much and this adaptation is almost the exact same besides the scenes that don’t feature the main couple. I did like the first one more and I def think the way things are paced should have been slower, so that’s why it’s a four and not a five! It’s so wild though how the art seems to even be based on the show, like I truly think this adaptation is moreso adapting the show than the novel… I think I’d like this better if it was it’s own thing, because there are clear scenes thay are redraws from the show, so even if all the events were the same, the way things look would be different and unique and all that.

Like before, I will have to watch the show again.

I am really enjoying reading this manga adaption of the show. Just makes me remember scenes from show. I don't remember them affirming their past life together so quickly, but it could have felt quicker because of the pace.

I still don't like people taking photos of Dean and Pharm without their permission. I don't see how they are able to get away with it.

There were some funny moments especially when it comes to Pharm. Everyone knows that Dean is with Pharm. Though Alex just wants to see if he has a chance. (he doesn't). Alex in the show is played by Tin from Love by Chance. It was weird when I first watched this show after watching Love by Chance, and seeing him play a completely different character. But that is who I see when I read the manga, the actors from the show.

The moments where a memory hits Dean or Pharm is heartbreaking to see, and it happens when they least expect it. Dean was driving. Pharm was sitting, eating breakfast with Dean. Pharm has a dream where he wakes up, calling out someone's name, but doesn't remember the name when he wakes up. Dean, while with friends, gets hit with a memory of In and Korn promising to always find each other. The red thread was nice addition. The string was connected to Dean.

I still love the friendship between Manoaw, Win, and Pharm. I hope they will all be close friends throughout the lives.

When I get home, I will watch the show again. I still need to watch Between Us.

This beautiful love story continues being so heartwarming and touching to read.

I read both of the first 2 volumes in one go because I just had to read the whole story right away. This story is definitely a new favourite.

If their love isn’t to be, they wrap the red thread around their wrists and commit double suicide... believing that the thread will pull them back together in their next lives... once they’re reborn, they both get a sense that they know each other... as if they’d been waiting for their reunion all along.❞

I loved the Thai drama this manga is based on and so far the manga is staying true to it. I also love the premise of the story of two men who fall in love but their fathers are against it. One was the much desired son of a humble man and the other the eldest son of a mob loan shark. Though both have completely opposite personalities In annoyed his way into Korn’s heart; he was the only bright and vivid thing in his life. Korn’s future plans were at the whim of his father and because everyone knew what his father’s business was he found himself isolated and so he kept to himself. In saw beyond that to a sweet man who felt alone, all he wanted to was to make Korn smile and happy.

What happens when you can’t be with the person you love in one life??? In this volume we meet Dean the 3rd year student in Business Admin and captain of the swim team. He’s a very handsome and popular man but standoffish and strict. We Parm, a freshman in the Economics department who has a penchant for cooking. Both Dean and Parm always seem to be looking for someone. What happens when these two cross paths?

The beauty of this story is that you have four beautiful souls searching for their one true love. Told in two different timelines you get one of the most beautiful love stories.

I’m a fan and I hope I didn’t spoil too much.

This is a Thailand story set in college and we continue the story on in Vol. 2. These two are connected by a red thread from a past life. They've been looking for each other. It appears their past life is beginning to bleed into this one. They even have the same birthmark on their temples.

They have said much really, but it appears they are dating. TEam is already very possessive of Pharm and he basically wants everyone to know that Pharm is taken. Team is not embarrassed about it at all.

Pharm does a lot of baking. He is amazing with food and everyone loves to eat his food. There are been very sweet moments and lots of sugar between the two. I'm very interested to see where this is going to go. I can't wait for vol. 3 to be publishes.

🥰 Pharm and Dean get to know each other more and their relationship moves from just noticing each other to spending as much time as they can every day. It’s so darn cute. They know what they want to be to each other and as the flash backs of their previous life haunt them they keep moving forward. It’s also cute that although they’ve not said it out loud they know that they are for each other, like when Pharm keeps getting hit on by Alex and turns him down. And at the end they mention their names in their previous life and now definitely know they have always loved each other I can’t wait for the next volume.
