While catering to his eccentric mother and painting knock-off impressionist murals, Tony Romero, a certified Casanova who loves porn and gambling, must find a new vocation in life when his charms fail to support his lifestyle, leading him on a wild and wicked journey of self-discovery.
Tony is a rover, a Lothario, a Don Juan who preys on men like cats on birds. He loves having sex with them and he’s got no problems with having multiple affairs, even when it involves running around, lying, skullduggery, deception and heartbreak.
This is a novel of what happens when a playboy has his awful ways catch up with him. Told in between an investigation into a near-fatal shooting, Tony’s story makes for fine reading, combining romance, mystery and sometimes painful conversation as he slowly pulls himself together to become a better man.
Good book, interesting story and I am always impressed with Chris Kenry's writing... But through the whole thing, I kept wanting to develop some affection or sympathy for the main character, but never did. He just isn't a very likable person. Instead, I felt a sympathy for the people in his life that he kept hurting. Still, overall I enjoyed the book very much.
