Much like the first two books of the series, the plot, characters, intrigue, and heat are well done. There is a ton of potential here, and this book did an overall decent job of illustrating that the series may be able to follow through on it. However, much like the first two books, I again have the same complaints. While I'll elaborate on those below, they can be summed up by extremely poor editing (which is generous, because it was clear to me that there was zero editing in the first two chapters, as errors existed that even a basic spellcheck would find), inconsistent or absent details, and what was sometimes just lazy writing.

The story was fast-paced and unfolded nicely. I do appreciate that the author didn't waste a lot of time retelling the previous books in the beginning and just jumped in essentially where book 2 ended. It follows a similar pattern of events as in previous books, including ending on a cliffhanger that unfortunately repeats the same theme from books 1 and 2- someone from the group goes missing under presumably dangerous circumstances. I actually found myself rolling my eyes due to the lack of creativity in what is otherwise a very creative world and plot line.

Below are my thoughts (aka rants) from the first two chapters- stop reading here if you would prefer no spoilers, even if they do occur quite early.

The Curse of the Alpha series continues with the third book, Wolf Trapped. After the ending in the previous book, I expected a lot of angst and tension due to Ivy's actions and while there was some it didn't last long. Ivy and Killian are still a team and even closer than ever and I'm not mad about it. Ciaran is also still on the team and still sexy as heck but there is something else going on with him and while his side of the LaBlanc family aren't shifters I don't think they're purely human either. Ciaran and Killian have way too many similar qualities for it to be a coincidence.

This may have been a quick read but it packed a punch with plot twists and so many revelations it would make your head spin. First off, no-name goddess, Ivy finally learns her name and the truth about what's going on. Things take a twist with Killian and he finally has some unexpected good news which is good after everything. Ivy has more than a few family revelations, like what she is and a secret her family has been keeping. But that's only part of it, a demon known as "master" is pulling strings, and this time he wants more than just Killian's blood. Patrick, Ivy's adoptive father makes a surprising appearance, and Killian finally faces off with his beta, Adam West, who turns out is a megalomaniac.

Wolf Trapped was a great read. I love that Ivy and Killian have gotten closer and are dodging some pretty close calls but there are consequences to everything and this book ended on a cliffhanger that's gonna have some ripple effects. Luckily for me, the wait between books isn't that long.

Wolf Trapped is the third book in the Curse of the Alpha series. Wolf Trapped like the two books before it starts off with a blast. I was hooked the moment I picked it up. The suspense kept me hanging on page after page. I do believe that Wolf Trapped is by far the best one yet. Don’t get me wrong each book is very unique in its own way but Wolf Trapped is my favorite.

The Curse of the Alpha series just gets better and better with each book. I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. The more I read the more I want to read. I love the world-building. It was so well done that I had no problem seeing it all play out in my head as if I was a part of the story.

In the first book, Wolf Cursed we meet Ivy and Killian for the first time when he hires Ivy to help protect him against a curse. Then in book two Killian goes missing and Ivy is hot on his trail. Now in Wolf Trapped Killian’s wolf has been taken from him and Ivy is doing everything in her power to return his wolf to him without killing him or his wolf in the process.

Wow! The question now is can Ivy save Killian and his wolf? Can she reunite the two before it is too late? Can she do it without killing one or the other or both? But before she can she must first learn the correct spell to do so. Can she do it? Can she learn the spell in time? If she does will it even work? The answers lie between the pages of Wolf Trapped.

Do I recommend Wolf Trapped? You bet I do! Grab a copy of Wolf Trapped today!

Killian has been cursed, preventing him changing into his wolf. Ivy has been hired as his body guard but the intense attraction between the two is blurring the lines. Whilst searching for a cure, Killian is injured killing a demon to save Ivy. She, in return, saves him by separating him from his wolf.

This book in the series focuses on finding and healing his wolf spirit and reuniting the two. All the while fighting demons, unknown assailants and turncoats within his own pack.

Ivy's life is never dull and this book is no different. Excellent as always, ends on a cliffhanger and can't wait for the next in the series.

They need each other in more ways than one, but other loyalties conspire to keep them apart. Duty drives them, but passion and trust might just be a stronger force.

This is book three of the series. It does okay as a standalone, but it is a better experience if you read from the beginning.

The story is well written and easy to read with a well developed setting that just begs to be explored. The characters are excellent and we get to learn more about them throughout the book. The plot moves at a good pace with a nice mix of action and intrigue which definitely keeps things interesting.
Overall, another great entry to the series and I look forward to seeing what comes next.

Highly recommended.

Ivy needs to try to fix what she did to Killion. She enlists his cousin's help as she doesn't know who else to turn to. She is being pulled into different directions due to some advice. Killion will have to deal with the issues of pack and what is happening. Ivy will risk everything to right her wrong.

This pulled me in from the first chapter and I couldn't stop reading. Ivy learns more about herself and her powers, and her feelings for Killion. There were some really great twists in this story. I highly recommend reading this book and its author.

Book three and this was oh so good as we hit the ground running. You would think that Killian & Ivy would finally catch a break but nope there’s more going on in this dark and dangerous world. Deception, betrayal, mystery, suspense, this draws you in and holds you hook, line and sinker from start to finish. The world building continues to enthral, the storyline is thrilling, exciting and captivating and our characters, well they continue to fight for each other and the pack. It’s an epic addition and I am so ready for the next book

Action packed adventure
Magic coursing through her veins, Ivy is ready to do what it takes to save Killian and his wolf. A great blend of the supernatural powers, magic, shifters and humans as the suspense and tension with the many twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat in this engaging read. Bad guys, good guys, romance, and great friends make this a well rounded read. An ongoing series which must be read from beginning to fully enjoy. This is the continuation from the first two books and both must be read to follow this storyline. Ivy is dealing with the fallout from trying to help Killian. Killian is dealing with being separated from his wolf. Some questions are answered and new ones arise. Not as much action in this book and more about the relationships and interactions between the characters. Hoping this series doesn't drag out much longer, I really want to see what happens with Ivy and Killian.

My favorite by in the series so far. He each book gets better and better and this third installment is no different. So much happening here. This book was a roller coaster ride of action, adventure, suspense, deadly encounters, deception at every turn, powers and abilities at risk and a wonderful chemistry that falls nicely into place. I love Ivy and Killian and the connection that they have. This was an edge of your seat story that I can’t for the next installment.

I am loving this series. Every time I pick up a book from DN Leo, I’m unable to put it down. They are thrilling, full of surprises and excitement, love the supernatural and everything in between. The imagination to keep writing all these wonderful stories and to keep them all entwined just amazes me. In this read, there was definitely a twist that I didn’t see coming, but it made the whole book that more interesting. Definitely pick this series up!

Killian and Ivy . . .

There is so much going on in this exciting book. Ivy discovers some things about herself she needed to know. She tries to restore Killian’s wolf but cannot do so and he continues to struggle without his wolf.

The twists and turns will keep the reader on edge and watchful for what Ivy and Killian have to deal with next. There is never a dull moment, so grab your copy and follow along on their adventure.

I am so glad I was able to read starting from Book 1 and witnessed the relationship between Ivy and Killian blossom from grudging partners to what it is now. Yes, they still struggled but I think that was the spice they needed to be even greater together.

Great job, author! I'm always excited to see more of your work.

deeper into the rabbit hole

Man it just keeps getting deeper and better and more mysterious. There’s so much going on and all those secrets are starting to unravel which is amazing to behold. I’m cheering so hard for ivy and Killian. But now I need Ciaran to have a happy ending. And Nina and Damien. And Quinn. There’s so many amazing moments. I’ve started and now I can’t help the binge. It’s been awesome!
