I didn't listen to my gut when it warned me not to go. Now I'm on a flight to Mars with no way back, and my new dream job looks like it is going to be less of a job, and more of a trafficking kind of situation. I'm stuck with the choice - do I run, do I fight, or do I stay to be a good little girl to my new master? Yeah right, I’m going to run for my life. Luckily, there is a real man who is ready to save me. He wants to sweep me off my feet, carry me off into the wilderness, and introduce me to his pack of friends that he would love for me to get well acquainted with. Oh and he isn't a man - he is a monster. He is a Beast of Mars. And I might be one too. -> This is a steamy, consent positive, love story with violence, cliff hangers, and a HEA. This is an adult oriented novel with unusual romantic encounters, and the heightened risk of serious adult situations. This is written for those who like alpha omega romance, but it is a little different than what is expected. It has steamy scenes and multiple love interests.
I'm just a lady with a foul mouth who really likes writing titillating stories about characters who go through experiences we don't have here on earth.
I like tea.
Yoga is life, meditation is therapy, and a birdfeeder right outside the window is the meaning to life, the universe, and everything.
I like the sci-fi+paranormal mesh. Loved that it was not all hysterical screaming and mindless heats for Julia. However, the long inner monologues/justifications, Julia acting contrary just because she was given the freedom to do so and it coming off as TSTL and where the story came to an end didn't really capture my interest to continue on with the series.
Then the pacing is too slow for me to even picture them fully as a harem. If Julia ended up with Dylon only, that would make more sense than the harem. I wasn't feeling her with the other guys.
Julia travels to Mars with her new boss but she finds that aren’t as they seem to be and that she is in danger of being trafficked. With some quick thinking she escapes and runs into Dylon who offers her the choice to stay behind in the domed city or go with him into the wilds of Mars. Julia leaves with Dylon but soon comes to realize that he’s not what she thinks he is and that he has desires for her to get to know his pack of alpha wolf shifters, Ben, Marcus, Eric, and Carter. She finds that this new life offers her control as she makes choices about her own needs and wants. This is the first part in a five part series and was a great introduction, as well as the first opportunity for Julia to claim an alpha for her pack. Fast moving and interesting Omegaverse read with biting, knotting, heats, and more, but definitely some different elements in here too, especially with characters being able to make choices rather than being driven by simple biological needs.
I read the other series of Alpha's of Mars first and loved it, I'm not sure which came first. I presume it was the other series as this one contains things the other didn't. I love the way Deiri writes and read this from start to finish without sleeping! Now I'm going onto the next in the series. The way she describes how the changes occur and how everything they happens on Mars is kept from people on Earth. They have ruined Earth and are trying to do the same to Mars, but Mars made Alpha's and Omega's to protect her from them. This story is what the Omega's go through during their change. It's about Julia and how she came to be on Mars in the first place, how she's trying to take control of her life back, after having non her entire life, always doing as she's been told without thought. Then second guessing if the Alpha's are lying to her or if she's over thinking things. She acts impulsively and has always made bad choices. It's a great book and well written, worth a read. Definitely read them in order though or you'll be confused! I'd recommend this book without a second thought! It's brilliantly written and as always the description that goes into it makes it so much more. I've read a few of her series starting with the alien series and moving on to the Alpha's from Mars. I'll be reading all her books from now on!
Julia takes a chance on an amazing job, and halfway there, totally committed, and undeniably in debt she realizes it just might have sounded too good to be true.
Dylon knows humans came to terra form Mars, and the planet has decided to claim some of them as her own... He's now one of hers, willing to negotiate to coexist with the humans, if they can be trusted, and he's all too aware how big an if that is.
This is the first part of a new series in a familiar universe. It re-establishes the important truths of this universe, introduces a pack of interesting characters, reminds HS how important it is to trust our instincts -- and remember sometimes life becomes a tightrope where we're trying not to overreact, just as we're trying not to blindly follow or be conned.
This kindle unlimited quick read reaches a satisfying conclusion even as it left me eager to turn the page... Dylan helps Julia adapt and adjust to her new life, now it is time to see how she plans to build that life in her new world.
I read Wild Pack Part 1 in kindle unlimited and chose to share my thoughts.
Sometimes we don’t make the best choices. Julia signed up with a job recruiter, Antranik, to go to terraformed Mars for a too-good-to-be-true outstanding job in her field… only that’s not why they really wanted her. It may turn out to be that she is being trafficked as she heard Antranik arguing with someone about civilian casualties and securing the asset. When she asked for her passport to be returned, he told her she now owned nothing and she didn’t even belong to herself anymore! When he stopped the vehicle at the “Department of Interspecies Relations”, she was even more certain she had made a big mistake. That leaves her with a couple of choices. They are in a domed place where they are told they must remain, but not told why. Does she want to submit to what her captors want her to do? Or when she runs into Dylon and he offers her the choice to stay in the domed city or follow him into the wilds of Mars, will she choose to face life on her own terms out in the wilderness? What will she become? And what will that mean for her future?
I really enjoyed this book. Great world building and a refreshing take on omegaverse. I really liked both Julia and Dylon. After Julia was deceived by her recruiter with politeness and smiles until leaving for Mars when she lost her freedom, I was right there with her- nervous and hooked to what would happen next.
'No, I couldn't just let this happen like I had on the trip over. I had to stand up for myself. I had to confront this. "You can't do that," I said. "That's illegal. It belongs to me." "Nothing belongs to you anymore," he said. "You don’t even belong to you anymore.'
When a giant of a man jumps off a building in front of her, he is her way out and she takes it. This story was a fast-paced exciting adventure. I loved Julia's bravery and determination. She was such a strong heroine.
'She was vulnerable, wounded, and determined. She was fresh off the boat and saw the scam for what it was, a trap she had to escape. She chose freedom.'
Dylon won my heart from the start. I couldn't wait to see where things would go. 5 stars.
I really enjoyed the dynamics of this Omegaverse. Not only in Mars do humans change dynamics into A/B/O, but if you become an alpha or omega you have altered form of a beast-like wolf which I thought was fun. Because living on Mars is dangerous for a human as it is, this alerted form is perfected perfectly designed to live in this environment.
In this story, omegas need to be just as tough as their alpha counterparts so while they may submit to their alphas. That submission is a gift because the omegas could easily rip an alpha spine out. Goosebumps. No weak women here. It's a true relationship. I loved the give and take. I development and learning of who the FMC really was inside and who she wanted by her side. The characters were the right balance to sell this story. I can't wait to see her get the rest of her pack and continue to go in her power.

I am a new reader of Deiri Di and I love that she promotes women having choices, and rights to make decisions for themselves and having men, or Alphas, with the fortitude to want healthy, happy and clear minded Omegas that are independent and well informed so that their offsprings are well rounded and loved.
Here we have Dyon and his weirds ass fun-loving pack protecting Julia after she has been tricked, lied to, and betrayed by a recruiter. I think the way Dylon is trying to give her what she needs while trying to protect her is not only noble but right through his inner dialogue in how he was willing togive her as much infor to make an informed decision. Julia recognizes her mistakes may be too late, but she recognizes it in time.
I'm looking forward to her claiming the other ins the pack.

This was a fab series opener and quite the wild reading ride ;) Julia accompanies her new boss to Mars, only to find out her job isn't really a job but more of an indenture/slavery type of situation. When the opportunity arises to flee, she grabs it and runs into Dylon...an alpha from outside the city domes on Mars. Turns out the air on Mars is a bit tricky ;P Julia finds herself as an omega but Dylon and his pack mates offer her choices to start her life outside of the domes. I love the choice aspect even with all the hormonal drives that come with the alpha/omega dynamic. I can't wait for the next installment to come out to see how things continue to unfold for Julia and the pack. And what will happen with our bad guy boss...there's so much to look forward to :D
This is my first book by this author, and she describes these books as positive consent, and positive consent, and the way she crafted these stories, is the sexiest thing I've read in a while. Seriously. The way consent works as written in these books should set the standard for romance (especially light and fluffy romance, my favorite kind).
There is introspection by the characters! There is growth! There are no aholes within the protagonists! And she achieved all that with a *novella* I am so impressed, and cannot wait to read more!! In some previous reviews I've mentioned that I don't like Omegaverse books in general but I loved all 3 of these that are out right now (I read up to Wild Prey). I am so excited to read more of Deiri's books!
So heroine did not listen to alphas.. to the people who have lived in the planet for years. wanted to make her own decisions. so alphas told her NOT to come to the meeting with other alpahas as she is fresh omega. heroine ofc wanted to come. so she did. 3 young alphas went crazy and fighted for her and DIED. Her alphas killed them. And it was never adressed. That because her actions and her scent 3 innocent young alphas who cant control themselves so well.. died. oopsie.
other then that and the endless inner heroine inner monologue, it was great.
This series is going to be some kind of crazy! LOL. I can't wait to read the next book and see how things develop with the rest of the pack! These guys are so different from one another, yet united in their views on Omegas. It was refreshing to read a more choice/decision-positive book involving the AOB dynamic.

The author switched tenses several times, messed up which POV was in charge, gave incorrect details ("The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and growing things," for a character using an air tank, etc.) and generally missed the mark. The world building was lacklustre, there was almost no character development and no reason to emotionally invest in any of the characters.
Second worst book I've read this year, its that bad. The heroine is supposedly 6ft tall but is constantly referred to as small and tiny. The heroine keeps blaming her TSTL on the pack yet they have to keep saving her. She doesn't listen at all, putting everyone in danger. How many times did she have to throw herself at the men she tried running away from?? Then have the nerve to say "I'm testing them" when they said no, it's embarrassing.
The plot was good but the writing drove me nuts. I think she was supposed to come off as some sort of bada** female but she was just kinda dumb. The contradictions were annoying too.. One minute she had never been in the wilderness, the next she was a survival expert who knew how to swim inside rapids to survive. Not an author I'll read again unfortunately, because the plot was really good, the only reason I finished the book at all.
This is a very good, well written, action packed, Monster/Human romance. There is a cliff hanger and I can’t wait to get started. The primary characters are interesting and lovable. Julia has come to Mars with the impression she is getting a good job. She knows very little about Mars but soon realizes she doesn’t want to stay inside the dome. Read and learn the misadventures she gets into.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I like how Dylon lets Julia make her own decisions even when they aren't the wisest. Dylon and his pack will protect Julia who is transitioning to an omega. Dylan helps her through until she becomes the omega she was meant to be and she claims her as her first. Now it is time to find the rest of her pack.
The concept was interesting but the story was lost under the weight of poor writing. The only reason I finished the book was to be able to post this review. First person to third in the same paragraph; verb tense mixups; present to past tense narrative changes. Please find someone knowledgeable to read your work before you publish.
I loved the build up ,explaining how, and why Mars changes people, and who is trying to control it all. I thought Julia was a kick ass lady who made her own decision, and dealt with the results on her own terms. I loved her claiming her first Alpha. I can't wait to read about when the rest of the pack returns.
This does end on a slight cliff hanger but the other 2 parts are available to read. The books have great world building characters. Julia is used like a pawn by the villain, but she escapes with help of Dylon, who is part of a pack, to the wilds of Mars, she is no shrinking violet. Lot of unique tales in this book
The writing is great and descriptive when it comes to places and things but I still have no idea what everyone looked like. I love that they are giving her choices but it comes to a detriment at many points. The mfc is pretty bland and flip floppy I what she wants. The spicy scenes were also pretty bland.
I like the book, I actually kinda like that it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger but it looks that all of the books are out in the series. I think the only part that I don’t like about this book is that it isn’t always clear to me who’s narrating/talking. I also did read it in one day, so maybe I was going too fast but it happened in a couple of moments through the story.
I slogged through this mess. Writer needs to invest in English classes. Just because you throw enough adjectives at something does not make it better. Please please work on the understanding of those big words you are trying to use most are contradicting themselves. Makes for a very difficult and confusing read, not much story beneath all those words.
Exactly what it says on the tin - an alpha omega romance with positive consent. I liked the characters and enjoyed their story - cliff hanger alert though!.

This is a great start to this series. Such a great foundation. Lots of good backstory that still leaves plenty of questions still to be answered. I love how the author approaches instalove and dated mates. Such a unique concept. I want to go to Mars now. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Unusual premise, good world building. Enjoyed the Progression of the story and I can't wait to see what happens in book 2. Some minor editing issues but not enough to impact my enjoyment of the story.
I just happened to stumble upon this book while browsing and thought the cover model looked similar to Henry Cavill. What a fabulous book! I was drawn in from the very first page and every page since! I am finally out of my book slump!
I hate books with a cliffhanger ending. But I think this story is very original and unique. I like the world building and how the story and background comes together. I am curious, so I will read the next book.
