Confronting Familiar Spirits: Counterfeits to the Holy Spirit

Rate this book
FAMILIAR SPIRITS ARE COUNTERFEITS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT So much of Satan's kingdom on earth is based on the transmission of knowledge and power from the supernatural realm to the physical realm. A person can form and develop a close relationship with an evil spirit, willfully or through ignorance. When a person forms a relationship with an evil spirit, he then has a familiar spirit. People can gain influence and talent, they can become powerful and wealthy, through forming a relationship with evil spirits or "spirit guides." All of it, every ounce of their gain is based on the counterfeiting of the wortk of the Holy Spirit. The danger that arises from accessing supernatural power other than through the Holy Spirit is that it brings spiritual defilement. “Regard not them that have familiar spirits… to be defiled by them : I am the Lord your God.” (Lev. 19:31) Anyone who has fellowship with God, and who is led by the Holy Spirit, does not need a familiar spirit, for God provides him with all that he needs. Through the power and might of the Holy Spirit , we achieve our maximum effect here on earth. Far, far greater is He that is within us than the [imposters] from the demonic kingdom, familiar spirits, who are in the world. Now imagine what the Holy Spirit is capable of when we submit to the Baptism in the Spirit (Acts 2), as happened within the early Church.

The enlightenment of knowing that we can open doors to these familiar spirits and not even knowing that we did. Thank you for this information. Many blessings!

I purchased a copy and a few others in the "Frank Hammond Booklet Series". I wish I would have read that closely, because it is just that, a booklet which is less than 30 pages long. I believe it is only 20 pages.

I have become familiar with 'familiar spirits' and wrote about it in "The Day Begins with Christ" to give insight about necromancy, etc. but get even more in depth with real life experiences in eBook: "Unleashing the Spirits, Vol. 1-3". But I like how the author tells us how we can easily be deceived by the cunning enemy, with one example about a former pastor who passed and the congregation member(s) believed they were speaking with her and not the familiar spirit. I know once I lost someone I loved and felt their spirit came to visit but when I spoke the word of God to leave I have not been in contact with that spirit over 20 years. Now I had a dream about them what life could have been like if he was still alive (about 10 yrs after we met) and do not believe he is visiting me in my dreams.

I am seeing scriptures in relation to the topic but most importantly, want to see not only the deception of familiar spirits but how to discern and remove them. Next, I will read "Soul Ties" and purchased "Pigs in the Parlor" of which I never understood this title for a book but was suggested by another believer of Christ to read it years ago...and remember enjoying the read.
