This story was well written but I had a hard time getting through it. I felt like all these characters should've been in their ate twenties/ early thirties.
SPOILERS AHEAD
Jack was way too immature. He couldn't get his crap together for over 20yrs. That made Bella pathetic for holding on the long. I was pushing through but when she left for Italy ND he came yet she was the one complaining it was ridiculous. He had a woman who he slept with FOR YEARS while Belle not only had to sit by and watch but also hurt over his relationship with that woman in their home. She was merely walking with a man who was a client and she never even hooked up with, but he showed his behind. He should've groveled not Belle. Jackson acted like an immature 20 something f-boy.
Not to mention he took her virginity at 17 and basically hit it and quit it. Gross. Then when her secret is revealed later on he has the audacity to be mad at her. Like she was dealing with all that emotional trauma at 17, while he was out whoring around at his college. And he married her but took a year to realize he loved her, which meant he spent a year sleeping with other women while married. Yeah O spent half the book hoping she'd find someone else.
Best mates. Basically joined at the hip. *What an opener. Hook, line and sinker baby. I’m in!* Jackson sees Annabelle as unobtainable. He can’t measure up and won’t jeopardize the friendship. He wants her to have it all and he can’t give it to her, so he steps aside. Time passes, realizing that he can’t live without her, Jack makes changes to his life so he can be the man she deserves. Belle having a childhood crush on Jackson, her best friend’s brother, also feels strongly for him. But again, can they make the jump from platonic to romantic and not lose anything in the process? There is only one way to find out. The memories made me smile. So innocent. Many years of moments shared. With many more to come. Two broken souls healing and becoming one. The beginning of everything. And these two really do deal with it all. The past, the present. JR Gale writing another couple that has my heart. The process, banter, chemistry. Jackson raising the bar for all men and Bella showing us that we can have it all. Success, the man, family. You don’t want to miss this one.
“When you care for someone as much as I care about Belle, their pain is your pain.”
“You’ll pay for that later. You don’t get to deny me what’s mine.”
“You’re mine. My wife, my life. It’s me and you against the world, sweetheart.”
“I need to feel you. I need every inch of us to be connected right now.”
I hate that the Taylored Men series is over but I have loved every page of Secret Lovers. What a brilliant finale to what has been an amazing debut series from JR Gale. I loved Jackson and Belle's book with all my heart. Their story was filled with pain, turmoil, fireworks, secrets and heartbreak with lots of wicked banter and steamy chemistry to even out the angst. The perfect balance of everything I love in a book.
When Belle and Sadie became besties she got a two for one deal as with Sadie came her brother Jackson. Flashbacks throughout the book show that Belle and Jackson have always been there for the other but underneath it all was a strong mutual attraction that was apparent to everyone who knew them. On paper they shouldn't work. They've got the same explosive personalities and you can see their relationship as being tempestuous with lots of slamming doors and passionate encounters to make up but they are true soulmates if only trauma from their childhoods along with hesitancy from Belle who knows she wouldn't survive if Jackson ever left her makes them reluctant to make things official until a drunken trip to Vegas takes matters out of their hands.
One of main highlights for me throughout this series has been the various friendships and interactions between all of the characters that have developed from Wills and Sadie’s relationship in the first book. JR Gale has created a world of characters that you can’t help but want to know more about and while I'm sad to say good bye I'm hopeful that these characters might make appearances in future books and there's always the next generation. I'd love to see how Wills, Declan and Jack cope once Charlie starts dating for real. I would have no hesitation in recommending this series to anyone.
I want to start by saying that if I'm only giving two stars it's because I took into account the story itself.... H is ridiculous and with 0 maturity for those who are 40 years old (at most he gave him about 27), he has no consideration for h and her insecurities that are completely VALID. Let's not buy a person she met now with a person he has been involved with many times and knew how she felt about it.
And don't even start with the fact that he only began to notice that he loved her after being married to her for a year
It's also a little shitty what he did in Italy, embarrassing h in front of a client and still kind of making her choose between fighting for them (which had to be both because he has to change and not walk to hugs, for whatever reason, with the exes) or moving on.
Speaking of more serious matters, the abortion she suffered, yes because she still reports what she suffered, H has the courage to still put some blame on her for never having said anything. Her body, her choice is for everything, when going through traumatic situations people just have to respect what you feel and your desires for it Fuck you Jack And the worst thing is that he talks as if she was the one who had requested the termination of the pregnancy, and even if she had done it was her body, I swear I hated the jack so much. He didn’t fucking cared for her feeling only me me me me me even speaking with his fiends. And applause for Sadie for declaring the FACTS!!!!!
That’s it and it looks like she was the one always groveling…

If you’ve read the previous books in this series you’ve probably also been desperate for these two to get together since the start! I’ve loved them both separately and now together and am so glad they finally got their HEA. There was a lot more to their story than I was expecting, and at times it seemed like things were going a bit too well, or falling into place a bit too easily, but sadly that wasn’t the case and their HEA was very hard fought, but the depth of their love for each other was evident all the way through this book.
I really liked how the series was wrapped up and how we got to see the rest of the characters and their lives moving on too.
Thank you to the author for this arc in exchange for my honest review.
Loved this book, haven read previous books in this series it was lovely to see Annabelle/ Belle finally find her match. I found family-mess of this close group of friends amazing. Jack is a renowned bachelor, no one ever guessed he would ever settle. Especially with his upbringing/past. Then a drug night in Vegas sees them married, as they are so close they just pretend it never happened, that us until they both realise and accept they are jealous of seeing each other with anyone else. The relationship journey is entertaining, secrets, passionate, their sexual chemistry is completely off the charts. We see Sadie and Will married and also some past secrets are finally brought ahead. The steamy scenes are extremely hot 🥵 Overall a beautifully written story, such such detail and emotion. At one point I honestly had tears and then in other parts I was laughing so much - perfect balance.
“Our first kiss, we were young and careless. The second was drunk and forgetful. The third one was everything… meant everything.”
I truly loved this story of Jackson and Annabelle. You get a glimpse of these characters from the previous books in the Taylored Men series but for them to have their own story was much needed.
Jackson and Annabelle’s connection was built on years of friendship but they’ve always had that attraction and feeling for one another. When Jack finally gets his head out of his ass and realizes his feelings, Belle can’t believe it.
These two prove to be the power couple you want for them. They show you can overcome a bad past with great love, a true bond, and communication. This book was an emotional ride but I loved it all. JR Gale does such a great job of continuing the storyline throughout this book so you get a glimpse of everyone’s story too. This series is a must-read with a great love and plot.
I have been in love with the series from the start and was eager to start the read. Once again, the author delivered more than I expected. The whole read was an emotional rollercoaster and I was emotionally drained by the end. It's been a long wait for Jackson and Annabelle. I loved how they were there for each other. Despite having feelings for Jackson, Belle is hesitant because of her inner demons. There chemistry is explosive and love intense. They both worked for the happiness they deserve. I love this amazing world and am hopeful to have all my favourite characters who made me fall hard to make appearances. Thanks to the author for the advanced copy of this amazing read.
Jackson Peters is everything! This man is sexy as hell! Hes tender, caring and loving. Hes beyond attentive and romantic. Ive been rooting for Jackson and Belle since London Lovers because their sparks of chemistry has been so obvious and intense since way back, Right at the beginning these two give me butterflies and now this story leaves me fully elated.
Jackson and Belle are the ultimate power couple. These two are best of friends, absolute soul mates. They have the best banter. The passion is electrifying, the spice is like an inferno and there is no way you cannot love these two. Together they are just complete.
Secret Lovers is an epic story showing the strength of their relationship. Even when hearts are broken, these two can overcome anything together because no two people are more right for each other, Theres no one else for them, this is it, true earth shattering love. The plot has a raw emotional storyline that had me in pieces but as I said these can survive even the lowest of times so my heart healed.
Jess has created this brilliant series with this found family who have the best bond, We travel the world in her stories and each one I feel I so different but simply brilliant and captivating but, Secret Lovers has just become my favourite as it captured my heart wholly.
I can’t believe that the Taylored men series is finished. But if it had to end at least it finished on a high.
We’ve been waiting for Belle and Jackson’s story since their chemistry in London Lovers.
In a tale as old as time, J & B get drunk and married in Vegas. They decide to just carry on being married until one of them meets the love of their lives. You see where this is going right? 😉. Fast forward a year, and Jackson begins to realise its always been Belle. And we all know Belle has been in love with Jack from day dot. But her insecurities, about his past reputation and their own personal demons could be their downfall.
DNF @ 57% Put me in the fattest reading slump ever. Like it had potential but at the same time it was so boring and everything up until I decided to stop reading was pointless. Okay they love each other. Okay they are married. But do you mean they can’t be together because of some thing she saw when she was younger that disturbed her view on love as well as being a workaholic and him being a playboy (that we know of) and being a workaholic.
Basically to sum this up… just a bunch of workaholic that can get a grip of anything outside of the work place

I feel like it was well written but I just couldn’t get over the MMC’s switch up after he found out what the FMC had been hiding. He’d been the one that was pushing for their relationship for the entirety of the book (especially since he has never had a relationship ever in his 40 years of living and the FMC has known him most of her life and has been pretty much in love with him for all that time despite knowing the kind of guy he is) and all of a sudden he reacted that way which made it difficult to read the rest of the book.

Jackson and Annabelle have known each other since they were kids, and have always had a special relationship that was flirty and fun with a few instances of spice along the way but nothing ever beyond that. Everyone except them knew that if they would both get out of their own way, it could be something magical.
Jackson, a known playboy has never settled down, even after a night with Belle in Vegas that had them returning to England with the same last name. Belle, who’s harbored a crush on Jackson since she was a child, refuses to let herself be let down knowing he’s not the commitment type and valuing their friendship above all.
This has been their stays quo until the lightbulb goes off and Jackson realizes she’s what he’s wanted and the only one he could ever be with completely. He’s ready and when Jackson Peters decides something, he’s all in. Except Annabelle has known him during his playboy stage and her trust issues that stem from her cheating father creating hesitancy in letting him in that way again, afraid of what will happen if it goes south.
A week in Paris is thrown at them unexpectedly. A week to find out if this could be something. Annabelle doesn’t take it lightly and no matter how much she wants him, hesitates to let him in while Jackson is determined to show her she’s it for him.
When her walls finally break what they have is explosive. Their chemistry and how in tune to each other can be felt through the pages. Their trials are not over but show that a relationship, a real relationship takes communication and commitment, and with those two things anything is possible.
These two are fun, flirty, and spicy. But to have it all, everything needs to be laid on the table and Belle has kept one thing to herself that she’s worried could ruin it all. When she tells her truth, Jackson is crushed and shuts down, and Belle is terrified to lose him. Only one thing gives Belle hope through it all, his notes and a promise. “I will never betray you B, nor will I ever leave, no matter what happens, as long as you talk to me about it.”
This is the story they needed and deserve. Jackson and Belle are unique, they are beyond special. Their relationship is real and complex and complicated and so full of love and adoration and respect. Their pull toward each other is magnetic and their spice and heat is…phew!! I am sad to see this series end, but what a way to bring it all together!
Who wouldn’t want a sexy, handsome, caring billionaire boyfriend? Combine that with him being my dearest childhood best friend. Anyone would jump at the chance, right?
Oohhhh wee!! My oh my! This book gave me ALL the FEELS!! Jackson and Annabelle’s love story was definitely YEARS in the making.
The tension and fear of admitting their true feelings for one another got me hooked and made me want to read more! The reformed “playboy” FINALLY realizes that he’s known his true match all along.
Jackson is the ideal “billionaire book boyfriend.” He’s thoughtful, attentive, gentle and supportive. Annabelle is a beautiful, strong, independent, and hard working businesswoman. The intensity and chemistry between the main characters was completely off the charts! The hot angst, steam and drama in their relationship made everything so relatable and absolutely gut wrenching. I even caught myself getting angry at them when I felt they were being so stubborn to one another!
Diving into Jackson and Annabelle’s love story also introduced me to their inner circle of friends turned family. The amount of support and love they share with their mates is absolute #lifegoals!!
Thank you so much, JR Gale, for the lovely ARC read!! Your work is truly amazing as always!!

Secret Lovers is the first book I have read by J.R. Gale. This book is a best friends-to-lovers contemporary romance. It is the third book in The Taylored Men series and can be read as a stand-alone. I am excited to read about the other characters in the first two books in this series. The main characters in this book had great chemistry and complexity. I felt for both characters and was rooting for them throughout this book. The world that J.R. Gale has created is original and written beautifully. I loved the over-the-top alpha, spice, and strong female in Secret Lovers. This book can touch on sensitive subjects. Please read the warning at the beginning of this book. I couldn't put this book down and had to see what would happen next with both main characters.
Annabelle is a strong, educated, career-driven woman. I loved her determination and loyalty throughout this book. She was a firecracker and went after what she wanted. Jackson was just as determined, loyal, and a bit possessive at times. He was intense when it came to Annabelle. I loved his possessive and obsessive had so many emotions from heartbreaking, my heart soaring, and feeling like I could cry. They both were best friends and had such devotion to each other. I loved how they both fought against everything to be together. I loved the wit that both characters had with all their friends.
I enjoyed this book. It was a page turner, and I cannot wait to read what comes next.- Brooke
JR Gale's "Secret Lovers," the eagerly awaited third book of the Taylored Men Series, finally unveils the long-awaited romance between Jackson and Annabelle. While the timing felt slightly anticlimactic, Gale skillfully weaves their story into the larger narrative, closing the series.
What truly shines in this book is the remarkable camaraderie and profound bond among the Taylored Men. Gale has masterfully created a legendary friendship and family dynamic that is heartwarming and enduring. Additionally, the series spans over a decade, and this extensive time frame dramatically enhances the emotional investment in the characters.
While Jackson and Annabelle possess undeniable chemistry, their insecurities sometimes overshadow the magic between them. This aspect slightly detracts from the overall experience, leaving one with the impression that Sadie's story precedes theirs. However, Gale's ability to infuse just the right amount of spice and steam into the narrative without it feeling like an erotica novel is commendable.
The "Taylored Men Series" marks JR Gale's promising beginning as an author, and I eagerly await her future works. Moreover, I cannot shake the feeling that there might be more from the Taylored Men universe, perhaps in the form of novellas exploring the supporting characters' stories.
A big thanks goes out to JR Gale for allowing me to be apart of your ARC team in exchange for my honest review.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one, my first read by the author and what a blast it was. I was engrossed with this book from the beginning and not once could I put it down. The story line was so good and the characters really made it so much more engaging. I also enjoyed the other characters as well as they added their own little spark to the story.
I enjoyed Jackson’s possessive and protective nature not just with Annabelle but also with Sadie and his nieces. I liked that he was determined and set his mind to what he wanted and went for it. Belle was great, I liked her personality. Her bond with Sadie is amazing I like how they are sister soul mates. Her relationship with Jackson is extremely special I really love that they had such a close friendship that eventually became a stronger one that turned into love for one another as a partner. I liked the push and pull between them it made the book more interesting. The secrets were so thrilling as I felt they brought them closer together as they had another level of understanding, it also gave their relationship more meaning as they learnt to deal with it together and communicate in order to make things work out. That ending is so beautiful and satisfying that they get their happily ever after moments together especially with their friends and family.
The emotions are so mixed when it comes to The last of the Taylored Men Series. I absolutely love this series with every fiber of my being and I don’t want to say goodbye. However, I have been longing for Jackson and Annabelle since the beginning. It’s bittersweet for sure.
Secret lovers follows Jackson and Belle as they navigate an accidental marriage, being best friends for years and hiding the feelings that they have been holding onto for so long. However, they have been hiding them from each other because everybody around them has seen it for years.
Annabelle and Jackson formed a special friendship when they were younger due to their emotional past. While Belle was Sadie‘s best friend it was Jackson who would always come to Belle’s rescue and comfort her when she didn’t want to worry Sadie with the traumas of her life. This was such a sweet story to see what a champion Jackson was for Belle all of these years. He would protect her with his life regardless of their relationship status.
Belle had always had romantic feelings for Jackson but of course stayed away because it was her best friend’s brother. Jackson never allowed himself to give into feelings because he thought he wasn’t good enough. But when they have a drunken night in Vegas everything changes. Emotions are felt at a deeper level and secrets are shared that make each question just how long they have loved each other. This was a beautiful ending to an amazing series as we also got to see all of the other characters we have grown to love. Hello Wills!
@jrgaleauthor formed a beautiful world and the perfect “found family”. I have grown attached and she made you care so deeply. I can’t get enough of her and the beautiful words she puts on the page. I can’t wait for what comes next.

J R Gale has delivered another well written & developed duo in Jackson & Annabelle. It was clear as day in the first two installments of The Taylored Men series that there was so much more brewing beneath the surface with these two. And it was so wonderful to see it play out fully in the final piece to this series.
I especially appreciated that she didn’t drag out their relationship - once they were together, they were together! And who doesn’t love a golden retriever MMC with those alpha tendencies when it comes to his love. We also get plenty of character cross-over from well loved supporting characters. My *ONLY* head scratcher piece (and this is WAY minor in grand scheme of storyline) surrounded Jack’s dad…I felt like that either could have been developed a bit more, or left out entirely.
That being said I loved these MCs - and can’t wait to see what she has in store in her upcoming series!
“I’m not perfect, but I promise you, Annabelle, I’ll be worth it.” “Jack,” I whisper, “All that matters is that you’re perfect for me, and that’s exactly what you are.””
I received this book as an ARC and let me tell you, I devoured this book it was SO good!
Jack and Annabelle are long time best friends along with Jack's sister Sadie. Lifelong best friends although Jack and Annabelle carry a heavy secret, on top of being in love with each other (neither of them know it about the other one) but they also got married on a drunken whim in Las Vegas.
The group is all coming together for Sadie and Wills wedding. When Jack and Annabelle arrive to their hotel in Paris ahead of the wedding, Jack decides to tell Belle how he feels, causing Belle to admit her own feelings. Both damaged from childhood experiences, they share an amazing bond but are both hesitant to enter into relationships, Belle especially, since Jack is a well-established bachelor.
While the story is about Belle and Jack and their navigating this relationship while hiding it from everyone else, its obvious that almost everybody knows that the two of them belong together.
The banter and the spice in this book are just *chefs kiss*, J.R. Gale DEFINITLEY knows what she's doing with these books!
This is my second book by JR Gale and it gets only hotter and spicier! 🥵
Both main characters Jackson and Annabelle are strong, independent, successful and beautiful people. Even though they both are coming from money they has a lot of issues that stopping them from living their life to the fullest. And even though they have been in each other lives for decades and both have mutual attraction - they didn’t dare to do a leap of face into real relationship. But this is about to change …
This book presents great secondary characters and the friendship bond they have will only encourage you to read the series from the beginning. I haven’t managed to read the first 2 book of the series yet, but after reading Secret lovers I am determined to do so! Just to have a full experience with Taylored men 😉🫠
If you are in a search for explosive chemistry between characters, family drama, found family and hot billionaires - this book should be your next read! 🫠
Woe just wow . Secret Lovers was not just another phenomenal addition to what has become one of my very favorite series but it’s also one of the most wonderfully written and emotionally charged love stories I’ve read in that past few months . Jackson and Annabelle are best friends pretty much joined at the hip . They’ve been there for one another through the good and the bad . But what Jackson doest realize is that Annabelle’s feelings are much more then friendly and they have. Been for a very long time . And Jackson definitely feels the same but he does not believe he can be the person Annabel needs . The angst , the witty banter , the humor , the heartbreaking and heartfelt moments, the off the chemistry, the push and pull , the passion, the family and friendships it has it all in spades . If you are looking for a romance that will keep you up well into the early morning hours and hook you from start to finish. Then look no further. And definitely keep the tissues close as you will smile , you will cry and you will end up rooting so freaking hard
This is the third book in the Tailored Men Series: Jackson and Annabelle’s story.
I am going to be super honest here. So I did start off reading this book a few weeks ago and I wasn’t in the right headspace at the time. So I stopped reading in for a few weeks. I’m glad I took a break to get my mind right before starting it again.
I really enjoyed Jackson and Annabelle story. I definitely felt like you can read this as a standalone book but felt like if you read the other two books you would understand some of the other characters relationships with the main characters on a deeper level.
Jack and Belle have been best friends for a very long time. There is this easy going natural chemistry between each other. Jacks however is a playboy and doesn’t really want to settle down.
I loved all the romantic and spicy moment in the book. Jackson is soo naughty. They really do fill so well together once all the doubt and pass insecurities are resolved.
What happens when you get drunk in Vegas and get married??
This book had me feeling all emotions. I was happy, annoyed, laughing so hard and crying. If you want a book that will make you feel everything then I definitely recommend this book.
It’s the 3rd book to The Taylored Men Series. I loved Jackson and Annabelle’s book. The bond these two characters have for each other is like no other. They’re childhood best friends that turn to lovers. Both characters struggle with their past childhood trauma due to their parents and personal mistakes that were made at a young age. ———
Jack and Belle are at a wedding in Vegas but they get load drunk. Waking up the next morning wearing wedding rings of their own. They hide it from their found family/friends knowing it was something that wouldn’t work out for them. They both were on two very different paths in life and have agree that if the other finds someone they want to marry they will get a divorce. Looks like life had already made that choice for them.

4.5⭐️ 3.5🌶️
I really enjoyed reading Jackson and Belle’s story. I love a good Best friend’s brother trope and this didn’t disappoint. They had such a strong connection for so many years but weren’t ready to admit how strong their feelings were for one another.
They did have a lot of trauma to overcome and they showed that with communication, love will prevail.
I loved Jackson’s possessiveness of Belle especially around Romeo. I completely understood Belle’s insecurities especially around Anna and I’m so happy that Jackson reminded Belle that she is the only one for him.
Although this is a stand-alone to enjoy the book to the max I suggest you start at the beginning with Sadie and Will’s story.
There are many authors who write amazing books and loved every minute of reading this book!
We've already seen many faces in this book and we've already Annabelle and Jackson as well. What started as a crush during their teenage yesrs, has become so much more!
There were some great twists in this book (hello dad!) and the friendship Jackson and Belle have is just really natural. They were meant for eachother. Not only physical, but also mentaliteit. They were there for eachother when things got rough (even though it was with some help of their friends).
Perfect read and perfect ending for this series! Loved it!
Secret Lovers - J.R. Gale The Tailored Men Series - Book 3
💛Friends to Lovers 💛Secret Marriage 💛Best Friends Brother 💛Spicyy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🔥🌶️🌶️
I’ve become totally invested in this world that J.R. Gale has created. I literally finished Annabella’s and Jack’s book and instantly downloaded the first two!
Jackson is Annabella’s best friend (Sadie’s) brother and they practically grew up together. Both harbored secret feelings for each other when one drunken night in Vegas changed their relationship course.
Annabella is finally willing to let her love for Jack go and he finally started allow himself to let his love her Belle grow!
I loved everything about their story and loved getting to see them grow together as a couple not to mention the SPICE 🔥
Oh my god! These two, uff you could see them from a mile away!! Annabelle and Jackson boy talk about open secret!! I love these two so much!! Belle who in a young age shoots up the corporate ladder and her childhood best friend/crush/love is there always helping her rooting her and basically being her hype man. Can Jackson get any perfect. I enjoyed this story so much ,bought back all the previous couples from this universe and tied off the book perfectly. For a wonderful heart rending love , angst and smexy time ,pick this up. You will not be disappointed!!
I loved how this book interwove the other storylines into it. Giving you a full rounded view of how each storyline connects and the time in which it occurred.
Jackson and Annabelle 😍 flirty best friends and most definitely soulmates. I can’t believe how long it took for Jackson to get his head out of his arse 🤣 but all the little gestures and thoughtful things he done over the years should of been a hint, even to himself, he liked her. He would braid her hair, make a list of all the things she liked and disliked, just pure sweetness. Well until he sees another man touch his wife! 😮💨 living for the my wife lines!
Past trauma is discussed throughout the book, so check TW’s.
I wished the characters were a little younger but other than that, I found it hard to put the book down as I was engrossed in their story. It was quite steamy throughout but it brought good laughter at times.
What didn’t sit right with me was how Jack dealt with finding out about the lost pregnancy. I feel that he could’ve been way more understanding (he’s 40) about it. Their fight made my heart ache in ways i haven’t felt while reading a book in a long time. Overall a great read, even without reading the first two books.
