A Boy Called Ralph

Rate this book
Ralph is a playful and effervescent re-imagining of the building of the Byker Wall by notable architect Ralph Erskine. As anyone familiar with the history of the area will know, the Byker Wall has been a colourful but occasionally divisive stitch in Newcastle's architectural tapestry. It has been described as both “groundbreaking...influential across Europe” and “a ghetto for many of those failed by society.” Whatever has been said about the Byker Wall over the years, it is nothing if not iconic.
