Runer Jonsson (June 29, 1916, Nybro - October 29, 2006) was a Swedish writer and journalist.

Runer Jonsson holds a record of the Swedish press. Since thirteen years worked with the magazine and from Nybro Tidning nineteen years he was the chief editor. Co-written articles for other newspapers. His criticism of Nazism in the 40th the 20th century was very brave.

As a writer Jonsson is known primarily for its seven-series of humorous books for children about peaceful Viking Vik, under which was filmed and animated television series. Vike is the son of Chief Halvara, and although small, is smarter than all the other warriors together and resolves the father and his comrades problems to which they get their own actions.
