I was 14 years old when I started reading this book. It is the first book that made me fall in love with African novels...It is simply beautiful.Its a pity I lost my 1st edition copy in Varsity

As a work of art, albeit a mere 150 pages in length, this novel is in my opinion unsurpassed by anything in literature. I am talking about the original version, written in English. On no account should you look at any television or movie adaptations - these are worse than useless.
If you do not know this book, I strongly recommend you halt your reading to ensure you read it before you die.
