Evolution in Action: Natural History Through Spectacular Skeletons

Rate this book
Evolution in Action, a triumph upon its 2007 debut, is a singular and captivating endeavor to chart the billion-year journey of life. In this exquisite blend of images and text, evolutionary biologist Jean-Baptiste de Panafieu and photographer Patrick Gries delve into the skeletal record, revealing through words and pictures the fundamental processes that shaped all living vertebrates, including humans. Now revised and presented in a compact format with fifteen stunning new photographs, Evolution in Action transcends the debate, presenting the irrefutable evidence of Darwin's theory. It showcases, through skeletons ranging from obscure to familiar, yet always fascinating, the remarkable ways life has evolved and adapted over time.
