Marilyn Wheeler had over 20 years experience helping people before taking the big leap to Peace Corps in 2004-2006. As the President and Owner of “Direct Effect Programs,” a seminar and coaching company, she had the opportunity to work with organizations, as well as individuals, in the United States, South Africa, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Manila, and beyond to reach their potential in their personal and professional lives. Following the success of her seminars, she was asked to relocate to London for a year to continue her work throughout the United Kingdom and Scotland. Marilyn authored “Problem People at work, the Essential Survival Guide,” published by Random House overseas and St. Martin’s Press in the U.S. She co-hosted a national talk radio, “Uncommon Sense, “ and most recently (Sept 2006) moved to Monterey, California, where she now owns The Healthy Way, a weight and lifestyle business. The Healthy Way is committed to being part of the solution for what has become the global epidemic of obesity. “It’s a wonderful way to continue making a difference.”
