This is a fiction story full of adventure, and action. This story is about two dogs trying to survive in un empty city!!! The two dogs have very little in common, but life will teach them many lessons.
When I first started reading this book I couldn't put it down! It's a book that will pull you in!

I like how parts of the story takes the characters back into their childhood!! The setting is in an empty city, and this makes it hard for the dogs to survive at any time of the day or night. Its very difficult for the dogs to survive if they don't have a pack!! SPIOLER ALERT main character is trying to survive without a pack to prove he is a lone dog, but he try's finding a way to survive with out a pack!! And outcoming any troubles coming his way!! The main idea is that the dogs have to face challenges of an empty city, where there aren't anymore humans. The two main characters have a different opinion each about what to do to survive. And one of them soon will realize, that the other one is correct. The author want's the reader to be intrigued by the story, and this is why it is full of adventures.

the growl changed the main character way of thinking, like thinking about being a pack dog.. the title relates to the book because the dogs are trying to survive in un empty city and facing dangers!! the setting in this book is important to the theme because un empty city doesn't have people or food they have to survive and hunt for their food, they all so have to face other animals!! the author's tone is sad but then changes at time to happy!! the empty city helps establish the conflict, because inmost empty cities there is danger and you need to find ways to survive with or with out a pack!!

*spoiler alert* I was surprised the main character lucky left sweet leave and because he didn't want to be part of a pack!! I was angry when sweet was saying how her pack was killed but the people. I was satisfied because lucky kept trying to survive even as a lone dog!! I like how the author expresses the movements and of the dogs and all her work was worth reading!! if I was the author, ERIN HUNTER I would not done a great as she did!! my favorite part was when he found his old friend, and when he realize he wanted to go with sweet but didn't!!

I rate this book a 5, because I like how the character changes though out the story and still try's to survive, most people would make them give up, Erin Hunter is my favorite author!! I would recommend this that loves or likes adventure books and survival books, Erin
hunter has made many and other kind of books!! I loved every part sad a parts but a happy sad and interesting.. if you read this book I bet you'll say the same!!

I think that these books were really good. They are about a dog named Lucky after he found a pack of leashed dogs who were abandoned from their longpaws after a really big earthquake. The leashed dogs and Lucky must go on a quest to survive the new world that they live in and help the leashed dogs accept that their longpaws are not coming back for them. When they find a real pack who kicked them out of their territory Lucky must infiltrate their pack and find their secrets so that they can get the pack to share their territory. Find out more by reading these two awesome books!

I really Liked these book because they really show how trust can be very important to you. It also shows that friends will always help you. Also I liked the books because they keep my on the pages and i never get bored. The book are always giving constant strains on not only their trusts, but all of the dogs beliefs. The books are real page turners and will keep you on the series for a while.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes action, adventure, and dogs. I would also recommend this book to anyone who has read the popular "Warriors" or "Seekers" books. If you read this book you will probably end up like me, staying up intill 9:30 PM to finish "one last chapter". Also if you love good plots and lots of characters this book is for you. Remember this book when your at the library, and you will thank me.

Survivors #1 book review.

I think that this book was pretty good because it had some mystery some action and some romance. Basically it had everything a good book should have. But of course the book wasn’t absolutely perfect.

There were some pro’s in this book; for example,
It started with a cliffhanger, so the audience wouldn’t just pick the book up and leave it again cause it wasn’t good enough; they would actually stay reading the book.
It always kept you wondering what would happen next, because it wasn’t as predictable as a usual book would be.
It was fascinating to see how a dog could pass through as if being a wolf and specially how the author made it so that you could read the feelings that the dog had at all times.

There were some cons though; for example,
It didn’t always explain well where the character was at times, you just had to guess.
It didn’t explain why the main character was friends with a wolf for a long time.
And it didn’t explain why the dog that was a part of a pack was always making trouble and always ended up in the last place of society.

So in conclusion it was a really good book that fascinated me and i would recommend it to anybody really.

Not quite as good as I thought they would be. The first one I did not like, but the second one was much better. The first one, at least at the beginning, reminded me of The Last Dogs books, except this book had an immediately known reason that everyone fled the city. I liked the second one more because I started to understand things better in the second one compared to the first one. I did not like it when sweet started to act like the Alpha instead of trying to be kinder than him. I also did not like when Bella tried to attack the pack with foxes who killed Fuzz and Mulch, and then was allowed to join the pack, as the Omega. I also want to know what happens after Whine breaks his promise/deal not to tell the Alpha, and he does, because it leaves it ending like a cliffhanger, just like the first book, except I had the second book right there to finish afterwards.

The basic plot is there is a pack of dogs and they are trying to find food and any civilization. and while they are trying to find food and civilization there is another pack of dogs that doesn't want them to get food or find civilization.

Lucky is a golden retriever he is the pack leader. he really looks like any ordinary golden retriever with the fluffy curly fur and he has light brown eyes. and at the beginning of the story he is really calm and not very demanding closer to the end he gets a lot more demanding and serious.

I liked this book because it has dogs i also really liked it because it had a lot of action and adventure.

The Empty City is a wonderful book about dogs who have to survive in the wild. It is full of cliff-hangers and full of adventure. This book was so good that I just had to read the next one. I am now currently reading a Hidden Enemy and already want to read the next book in the series! So far a hidden enemy is about having a hidden enemy and reuniting with dogs that Lucky has met before. I highly recommend it!!!! This is a great series for grades 3, 4, 5+!

Usually I avoid books told strictly from an animals point of view. But Erin Hunter is a very talented author, and I found myself fully invested in this story about a pack of dogs who must fend for themselves after a great earthquake destroys the life they knew. It’s written for a middle grade audience, but I thought it was great and plan to read the next book in the Survivors series.

I liked the book and the concept of it, but it's not as good as Warriors.

I tried this series as I really enjoyed Warriors (well, up until the fifth arc anyway), and this was not at the same level. It was boring and a bit predictable, and felt like the Erins just took the plot of Warriors and tried to turn it into dogs. It's been a while since I read it, but I do remember - the domestic animal(s) going into the wild? check. The giant scary group of mean cats/dogs? check.

Probably other things too but literally it's been like three years lol.

The characters weren't entirely intelligent and seeing as they were dogs, they were far too much like humans, but I suppose that can't be helped.

This book was better then I thought it would be. My book was about a dog named Lucky who was more of a loner dog and didn't really work in packs. After a big growl(earthquake) Lucky has to learn to work together with a new group of dogs. He has to be a good pack leader and each hem how to survive on their own. They go into he wild and he has to teach them how to hunt and fight. While he has to learn how to be good in packs and not leave others behind. They come to many challenges in their way but the have to work through it and once they come upon some big dogs and 3 of them get trapped and Lucky has to save them. Once he does they run away to a new home in the woods hoping he dogs won't find them again. To me the climax was he big growl. The dogs had to learn how to survive on their own without their long-paws(humans/owners). At the end the dogs learn how to survive and then Lucky leaves them to survive without him and he goes back to survive on his own.
Lucky the main character at the beginning was a lone wolf but throughout the book he learned o work with others and work in a pack.He would only hunt with others and would not stay with them and keep them safe like a pack does. Then he meets a group of leashed dogs (he was a stray) who knew not how to survive on their own. He decides to help them because one of them is his pup sister. He has to help them many times to not die. Like when mickey got his collar caught and was almost strangled to death, or when Bella and 2 others almost got killed by a group of big strong scary dogs.
In my opinion it was a really good story and I only read the first one The Empty City but i can't wait to read the next one. I hope its just as good as the first one. I loved the way the plot was and it was clear who was the main character and all the other things on a plot.I just felt like it took too long for the Lucky to meet the pack of leashed dogs. I would recommend it to others though.I would give it four and a half stars.

This book is so terrific! This is my first series by Erin Hunter though, and now I want to read the Warriors and Seekers series.
I fell in love with the main character, Lucky. Lucky was separated from the rest of his liter at birth, and was not treated very well by his human owner. After being in his own in the wild for years, he meets up with his litter-sister. She goes by Sweet now and she was treated kindly by a human owner. They go their separate ways..
Now the story really does begin. Both dogs meet up with newer dogs- their new packs.

The amazing book "Survivors A Hidden Enemy" written by the number one best authors Erin Hunter, talks about a dog named Lucky who always was a Lone Dog in the wild. One day the Big Growl gets into the adventure and Lucky has to survive in the wild without trusting any dog. He had enemies everywhere. If he wanted to survive he had to rely on other dogs. Thus, the amazing book was a real adventure and exiting. I would recommend this book for Middle School boys and girls who love to be living an adventure.
