Gracie, from Suffolk, had a happy childhood, growing up by the sea with a loving and supportive family. But when she was 11 her life turned upside down after a near-fatal car accident left her with a severe brain injury.
Gracie experienced post-trauma amnesia and had to begin again building back her memories to piece together her childhood.
Although this was such challenging part of her life she has turned it all around by writing happy and positive children's picture books which encourage children that they are loved just the way they are.
Through the sales of her books and positive message she wants to help street kids and kids that have been involved in head injuries and bless them through their lives in anyway she can.
It feels strange and almost wrong reviewing my own book so I'm going to use Mr Bernard Hills.
"'With Silly Eric, Gracie Wright has written a love story. As Eric’s mum shows us how to love a child that does silly things, we also learn to love Eric and his silly ways. Illustrated by Emily Coxhead, a beautiful visual world matches the innocence of the writing. Silly Eric is a character to bring chuckles and smiles to every reader; however young; however old. Because there is nothing wrong with being silly sometimes. Is there?" - Bernard Hill
