Rate this book
This mythic title was announced as the very last Choose Your Own Adventure to be published during the series' initial run. It received five star reviews and was heartily praised on Internet forums-yet the book never made it to store shelves. Until now. YOU are a brave (but pretty normal) student who pays the bills with your part-time warehouse job. One what's warehoused in this building are the most terrible haunted items in the world. A bloodstained axe owned by the murderous Elizabeth Báthory, the killer trapdoor of Australia's Princess theater, and a possessed utility sink are just a few of the items in the care of your boss, the eccentric Mr. Del Grady. One evening, the warehouse door locks from the inside-trapping you and the haunted menagerie inside-forever?

There aren't as many choices as I would have liked, but the stories you can choose are satisfying.

The warehouse in the story is full of things inspired by actual myths and legends and historical figures, and there's a short appendix with a guide to them at the end, which is something I would have loved as a kid, because I was such a big fan of Believe It Or Not, In Search Of..., and similar programs.

It's too intense for younger readers, but kids who are into Goosebumps or Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark will love this.

i will not apologize for continuing to rate choose your own adventure books because they're fun and if i read it i will rate it!! This is a pretty good choose your own adventure, but honestly a bit dark for the juvenile rating it's given. i really enjoyed most of the references and i enjoyed all of the endings i got. overall a pretty good read as far as reading childrens books as an adult goes.

What IS this warehouse exactly? In this "lost" installment of the Choose Your Own Adventure series you will have to read almost 10 pages in before you get to choose which way you are going to head into this haunted warehouse. The premise of the book is that you are a starving college kid looking for a summer job and you answer an ad for the graveyard shift at a spooky warehouse on the edge of town past the old crematorium. From here weird and scary things start to happen and with each "choice" you move deeper and deeper into the mysteries of the warehouse.

The front of the book has a map of the layout of the haunted warehouse so you can better visualize your choices. The author has a background in ancient history and some of the artifacts you may encounter in the story have some actual truth to them which can be found in the back of the book under "The Haunted Index".

The age is 10+ which is a good thing because I'm well into my 30s and got a little jumpy at noises I was hearing after reading this book. Not that I was ACTUALLY scared because, well, never. You know.

A nice trip to my childhood, but it's not as fun as when I was a kid.

It was okay and fun like most of the other adventure books I have read in the past. This book in my opinion, ended way too fast in my opinion. I only got through like 5 choosing until I won the story. This book takes just simple common sense to reach the ending and it wasn't that much fun compared to the other books in this series that I have read.

See if you can get the backwards message. That ending is fun. Overall, Anson does a very nice job taking over for his father, and continuing the series.

It makes me genuinely happy that the son of the legendary RA Salvatore has delivered a next-generation CYOA that is as madcap and satisfying as this. The future is bright!

Escape From the Haunted Warehouse is a a book where you choose your own adventure. The story takes place at a warehouse working the graveyard shift. When a new adventure starts you have two options, which ever options you choose is a different ending. You can read many stories in one book!!!
