I have quite a few books on music and often they contain similar points of view. This book is a rare one since it focuses on arriving to target notes on downbeats and hearing that in your head. Next to IFR (Improvise for real) I find it a more interesting book than most others. Highly recommended.

One day I’ll sound pretty with my improvisation. That’s not today but thinking “everything is a pickup” changed my life.
