Very simple, yet interesting book. I think it would be good for probably up to third grade. I would use it in a unit about different countries of the world. It covers a lot of information so could also be used to show kids about different cultures.

This title is one of the Rookie Read-About Geography series. It is meant for beginning or struggling readers. It is filled with facts and color photographs of Africa. It introduces readers to the land and water areas, people, animals, and special places found there. A map and picture glossary are included. The simple text and large font with ample white space are ideal for special populations also. It is a good choice for reluctant readers and libraries needing high/low materials.
