Jojo’s First Word Book is a simple board book that plays with the idea of a book in fun ways. The text itself is very simple and easy to read for the younger reader with bright illustrations to entertain and occupy along the way. My niece who is admittedly a bit young for the book at 15 months, loves toting the book around as it comes with a handle that makes it resemble a purse. The little tabs are also fun and a great source of entertainment. The text inside is an introduction to the little things and it’s fun to read it out to her in English and then find a word meaning the same thing or similar in her mother tongue.

I love it. I make mom and dad read it all the time and ask "is it??" On every page.

My mom doesn't like that Jojo and Lulu both do gendered things. Why is Jojo riding a bike and driving the car and not Lulu?
