Too Much of A Good Thing — Uh why is Kyto imprisoned by the roots of the bimbim tree did the Gail Carson Levine trilogy not. Happen? “my brave, brave sparrow man” “getting burned by a dragon was worth it cuz tink cuddled me” lol dude’s down bad he needs help atp lol HOW is that actually the cure i legitimately thought it was a prank
Costy’s Talent Quest — Everyone freaks out when a fairy doesn’t know her talent immediately but this seems to happen a lot… Prilla, Scarlet, Costy… WHERE ARE THE ACTUAL INCOMPLETE FAIRIES YOU CAN’T TELL ME THEY EXIST AND CONSTANTLY TEASE ME ABOUT THEM AND NEVER ACTUALLY SHOW ME ONE “that wing will heal” uh i thought wings DIDNT heal that was kinda a big deal… Love Costy’s outfit. It’s so cute.
The Scent of Snow — Incorrect snow lore… Love the balloon fairy’s fit
A Present for Tinker Bell — That’s not how she arrived… Aw, cute! Tink sure kisses Terence on the cheek a lot… Rani ships it heehee
Love this book so much and is not just because is about Tinkerbell , is for the turn that the story take and what is the message in the end. All the Tinkerbell books (and usually children books) have a lesson to be taken from it.
In this book Tinkerbell loves all her gifts but is what she does with them in the end that surprises everyone, and teaches children a valuable lesson. How it says in the description her birthday is not the only story in the book and the only adventure you will be apart of.
It is a fast and enjoyable read, with great message that comes across from it, and very funny at time with great pictures that will take you into the neverland world.
My son chose this both because it was about Tinkerbell (all things Disney are "in" at our house right now) and because it was a comic book, and I was prepared to strongly dislike it. I was pleasantly surprised.
The book has 4 different stories, which is nice, because graphic novels as read-alouds are a little unwieldy, so I like that we can read just one story at a time. I did not realize how fleshed out the "Disney Fairies" world is, but the characters are decently interesting and the stories imaginative. It will never be a favorite of mine, but it's pleasant to read with my kids, and that's good enough for me.
G is very fond of the Disney fairies and the chapter books are still a little much for her but she likes the graphic novels very much. I think they are OK but am glad that she enjoys them.
