The majority of this book is just interviews and some are just a way for someone to brag about knowing the band and musicians. Many of these interviews don't tell you a lot or the people have nothing new to add. The author does include interviews from the band but most is just bits and pieces and not the whole interview. The information about the band though isn't enough for the author's claim of this book being an in depth account. I should have known not to read a book that isn't actually connected with the band.

This is not only a great book about Green Day history but a Great 90's East Bay punk rock scene, and in general the whole alternative rock scenario and music industry history, Is awesome how the writter interview the artists from almost all the albums and a lot of fans, the edition of this book is simply brilliant.

A comprehensive look at the trajectory of the band from formation to American Idiot success. It's unofficial, so don't get too excited, and if you're a green day mega fan as I was back in the day, nothing will be too surprising.

This book is such a great book at least for me and everyone who listens to punk rock . It got me really fast since i listen to their music it was pretty great . The book talks about how the babd was created and the songs but I got so wrap up on the book since I identify with a lot of the things they went trough and some things were pretty funny.

The book was written for all their fans and to explain a lot about the band and their song , the book it's great since it has everything from the band

Really interesting story. I understand their music and their choices a lot better. A little redundant at times because most of the people interviewed had the same things to say.

Received this book as a gift last year and I'm going to send another thanks to the friend who bought it for me.

I like a few more anecdotes and interesting stories in my rock biographies. If you like in depth detail on sales and exactly what single / album / concert happened when in the Green Day timeline this is the book for you. If you'd like to know more about the band themselves, then, not so much

Book was ok. I was hoping for more personal and insightful information regarding the band members themselves. This book lacks that aspect completely.
