Has Your Heart Been Touched by Silver? Joni Eareckson Tada peers into the treasury of Scripture -- pure as refined silver, cleansing what it touches. More Precious Than Silver reveals surpassing wealth in the subtle things we overlook as we chase life's golden glitter. This year's worth of wise, insightful devotions will show you why nothing can compare to the riches of a heart that's known the silver touch of God's Word. Includes photos and illustrations by Joni.

Joni has been instrumental in bringing comfort to me personally during times of pain and sorrow. This year isn’t quite completed yet but I wanted to review this fine devotional in time for a holiday purchase should someone need the encouragement. Who is this Jesus I love and serve? How can my life reflect His glory as I go about my daily journey with my own limitations and discomfort in my body? I have nothing compared to Joni, but I cleave to my Lord daily for the Great Physician He indeed is and await His return. I encourage the reader to read her biography and this devotional will be all the sweeter.
I am on my second time through this wonderful devotional. I have several other devotionals by Joni Eareckson Tada, and they are all spiritually refreshing to the soul. Mrs. Tada is such a wonderful example of a godly woman who has suffered so much yet with no hint of bitterness, only a sweetness of spirit and an obvious love for her Savior permeate her writings. She encourages and challenges the reader to see the hand of God in all circumstances working all things together for our good and His glory.
This was an amazingly helpful devotional which really helped me in my walk with the Lord. I would recommend that you use it alongside another Bible devotional/reading as there is only a verse at the top of each devotion, souse something else as well if you really want to dig into scripture. But this seriously helped and encouraged me so I highly recommend it as a devotional, particularly to anyone going through hard times.
