Soul Sex: Tantra for Two

Rate this book
This is not only a book about Tantric practices, but also about how you can use them to create a life-long, loving relationship. Because Pala and Al's emphasis is on Tantra in relationships, both beginners and skilled Tantric practitioners will find value here.

Through the authors' mix of ancient Eastern sexual practices and modern Western approaches to communication and intimacy, you and your partner will learn to connect in ways that are respectful, nourishing, and lusty.

Pala and Al offer their relationship as a model for a successful, long-term relationship in which to be happy, fulfilled, and spiritually awakened. Soul Sex includes thought-provoking discussions, personal anecdotes, and precise but simple techniques to inspire you to apply to your daily life. The observations and exercises included are drawn from the authors' own heady partnership and from the hundreds of couples they have had the privilege to teach at their Tantra sacred sex workshops.

This book is my first venture into the magical world of tantric sex, marking the beginning of our journey to bliss. Captivating (the first page draws you in right off the bat) and well written, you don’t have to be a tantric master to fully understand the basic concept of this book. Actually, this is a westernized, beginner friendly guide, not some mystic script you can barely pronounce.

The “main characters” of this book, Pala and Al, describe the trial and error of their own tantric relationship, clarifying the points that would otherwise be confusing or misleading while guiding us through the exercises.

Before further exploration of this subject and reading in-depth material (such as Mantak Chia’s books), I will take our/my time to fully implement and explore the exercises presented in Soul Sex.
I loved the book and I recommend it to every couple that is eager and loving enough to raise their relationship to a whole new level.

My father and mother loved each other and treated each other with loving respect but they were inhibited by the morays of the 40's, 50's and 60's. We children grew up inhibited in many of the same ways they were. I wish they had had access to the basic ideas discussed in this book; that they had been open to discussing sex. We then would have had a clearer understanding of the natural beauty, wholesomeness, and associated energies associated with sex. Sex is not a four letter word, after all sex was created and given to us by our god. Openly discussing sex and its practice does not necessarily cheapen nor make it dirty as many of my contemporaries believe. My knowledge of sex when first married was considerably limited. Needless to say, I was as much afraid as I was excited on my wedding night. I am now almost 68 and looking forward to practicing some of the concepts taught in this book. I believe my God will not be offended but pleased.

Although not specifically about chakras, this is a book I'm reading and working through as part of my sacral chakra development. The authors present a holistic approach to relationships. They teach how to manifest lasting love through awareness of mind, heart, body, and spirit. Very dense and some of the work is HARD and SCARY... which indicates to me that it's probably very important!

Learn to create love for a lifetime together. Keep passion alive and monogamy hot. Use your relationship as a spiritual practice with Tantric sacred sexuality as the primary form of that practice.
