This was a riveting and emotional volume, which focused on Noa just as much as Ami this time. It's nice to see more of Noa and Tomohiro's relationship at just about the right time, but... It's over now. Noa broke it off with him, because he didn't treat her right, to which I say "goddamn you got more guts than me-- you go, girl!" However, Tomohiro seems to actually be taking it hard. Perhaps he really does care for her, and maybe that's why he treated her more shitty than all his other girls? Perhaps he was afraid to hurt her, but he ended up doing so anyway? I think her intensity and her sincere and deep feelings for him is both what scared him and drove him away, but also what attracted him to her more than just her looks. I hope they can get back together and make it work. I hope that Noa's heart will thaw out Tomohiro's heart, without destroying her in the process. But I don't think she'd let that happen anyway. As for Ami and Tamon, they're doing really well! They both love each other, but Ami is the only one who will admit her feelings between the two. Tamon is, however, leading her on, but for the most part he is just being a really good friend. I think that right now, Tamon does have feelings for Ami, but he is unsure as to whether or not these are feelings of love or friendship. But he does get jealous, and he does find her attractive and really does want to kiss her when she isn't being a gross idiot. But he still has no intentions of being serious with her. But I think they're getting down that track. Don't give up, Ami! Your determination is what fuels mine! We're on the exact same road now, after all these years!
The Side Story - Maybe I'm Ugly! This was so cute, enjoyable, and pretty quick and easy to relate to. And I wish there was more of it! It would be a perfect like 2-5 volume series, hopefully with a happy ending. Kanna and Akira remind me a lot of my exes and I, and it would be really fun to see how their relationship, their individual character developments, and the film club all play out. And it would be nice to see more of Tetsu too. Each and every one of the characters are just so real too, I love it. It felt like I was really there with them, or that I WAS THEM. Kanna's feelings and demeanor is a LOT like mine, and how she sees Akira and how he acts toward her and around her is a lot like how my boyfriend of 2+ was with me. I love that they had a happy beginning and that just feels so nice and fresh, but I really want to see them have a happy ending too, because then I'll know that him and I will be okay.
