Rick and Morty: Go to Hell

RICK AND MORTY GO TO HELL #1 CVR A OROZA

Rate this book
Well, it finally happened. Rick and Morty are in Hell, and we don't mean the DMV. It's fire, brimstone, and torture for all eternity. Typical Rick, he sees a way out of this mess and drags Morty with him on a horrific adventure to speak to...the manager.

Wasn't expecting some snide remarks towards specific states in this comic at any point. Although, to be fair, if you are living in Florida or New York, you pretty much are already living in Hell to begin with. Now let's just wait for them to rightfully make fun of both California and West Virginia, so we can have the entire four-man group of embarrassing states under the Hell belt here! Also, this version of Hell is clearly unrealistic. If there was a DMV in Hell, then they would've never been able to get to speak to anyone after waiting in line for eons, and there wouldn't be anyone to complain to either. That, ladies and gentlemen, is not only the average DMV visit, but it is also true hell.

This was exactly what I expected from the Rick and Morty universe and it checked off all the boxes, fart jokes, Morty having mental breakdown after mental breakdown, mad scientist Rick gets the family into ridiculous situations, and Jerry still being the worst. I think one has to be a fan of the show to enjoy the graphic novels and this is definitely not one for someone brand new to pick up as it helps to have a familiarity with the show to understand the characters. I grew up watching Beavis and Butthead and Ren and Stimpy so Rick and Morty delights my inner child and provides an escape from this dumb timeline that we live in.

It would make sense that rick and morty would go to hell, as after everything they have done to the universe, it's obvious that they weren't destined for heaven 😅
