His silence wounded her pride, but his truth will crush her world. Daryl King was the person I was meant to be with. My best friend since childhood. The peanut butter to my jelly. Until I lost him. Now our school’s star quarterback is back in my life and our worlds are colliding once more. I’ve loved him since forever, and sometimes I think he feels the same, but the secrets he keeps threaten to ruin everything. He tells me that I’m better off not knowing. Deep down inside, I know he’s right. After all, the past is behind us for a reason.
*** Warning *** Because of its explicit sexual content, mature themes, triggers, violence, cliffhanger ending, and bad language, Truth Game is suitable for mature readers.

If you want to read a boring book where almost nothing happens, feel free to try it.
No action happens until almost the end of the book and it also gets resolved very quickly. Both protagonists Molly and Daryl annoyed me. There are few funny bickering but nothing else is that entertaining.
Now is Amelia getting a book? If she does I think i would enjoy her book.
The follow up to The Waiting Game was quite the gut-wrenching read! The entire time I was reading, I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. I had my suspicions about the secret that was being kept from Molly, and it was just as devastating as I’d feared. Nevertheless, the author handles it with grace and tact, and it’s not too depressing. She injects humour into even the darkest of scenes, which adds much needed comic relief and kept me obsessed with reading and finding out what would happen next. And, needless to say, the book ends with a Happily Ever After, which makes the difficult journey even more worthwhile!
The Homecoming King , Daryl King, football hero and boy with a fucked up home life falls in love with the girl across the street Molly.
Daryl saved Molly from a fire but can he keep her with all the secrets?
What I didn't see but would have loved to:
- showdown with Darlys family mom and cop step-dad and sister. Daryl deserved to put his mom and his stepfamily through the paces. He never told his mom outright what shitty person she was and she was a Terrible person and should not call herself a mom.
- better epilogue with Molly, molly's dad, Daryl. The epilogue was like 2 pages - what the ever-loving fuck? We deserved more. How was Molly settling into school life, the same about Daryl and would have loved to see little snippets of their life as well as post-High School moments with Rourke and Mercy especially since Mercy and Rooke's epilogue took place after college was nearly over.
What I really wanted to see was Daryl turning Pro b/c that's what his horrible step-father said he would never do
Pages: 266 My rating: 3.5 Read other books by this author in the future: yes MC: Molly, Daryl
This is the second and last book of Molly’s and Daryl’s story. This is about the secrets the adults keep from Molly to spare her more heartbreak, but Daryl also found out about the secret and partly kept it from Molly when they were little because he always wanted to protect her. And then he keeps the other part of the secret from her, when they reconnect, because he needs Molly. So there is a lot of heartbreak for both of them but luckily there is a silver lining: an HEA for them.
I did not put this book down and read it in one day. I loved the mixture of heartbreak, drama, friendship and romance.
I absolutely fell in love with Daryl in the conclusion to his and Molly’s duet. He’s such a strong and sweet man. Although I didn’t quite feel Molly and Daryl’s connection in the previous book, their characters took a deeper dive in this one, hitting me right smack in the feels and had me devouring every single page in one sitting.
My only regret is that the epilogue was so short. I needed just a bit more of their HEA ❤️.
if i had a nickel for every time chloe walsh wrote a book where a parent commits suicide by burning their house down, i'd have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

The final book of Molly and Daryls story I loved this couple so much didn’t want it to end need them all on paperback love this series I am hoping Reebo gets his own book too
I enjoyed the second part of Daryl and Molly's story more, because there was more details and explaination about the story plot and characters. It's a cute high school romance, but with a darker undertone of secrets.
i have no words. the chemistry between these two continued to amaze me, and i will never not love them. istg i felt their pain as my own. ocean bay is a series i’ll always recommend.
Wow I love Daryl and molly so much 💔 Their 2 books were not even close to being long enough- like fr why were they so short?? I love them so much their story was so sweet and Daryl was perfect. This book brought out all the emotions for me. I loved molly and daryl’s childhood friend to lovers trope and thought they were so innocently in love. I understand why daryl kept the truth from molly, and her dad should have definitely told her before because she didn’t deserve to find out like that. The truth about the fire and everything did really shock me and i did not expect it at all. The pregnancy i saw coming from a mile away and i think everyone knew BUT her, lol. I wish we got more of molly and daryl at the end because I feel like she came back and then it was just done and I wish we saw more of them as a couple rebuilding their relationship and I also wish we got to see more of them as parents and in college. But I really loved them and chloe walsh always knows how to bring out my emotions in a book. I love Chloe and i’m so glad I read this series. The first one was iffy for me, but I loved the last 2. Chloe walsh is the queen of trauma and plot twists, but I love her for it. I know if I ever need a good cry I can just read her books. This book shocked me and was so good.
Truth game is the follow on book to waiting game, please make sure you read waiting game first. Truth game jumps right in where we left off, just throws you right in to the twisted world of teenage angst! Darryl and molly's story is one we have all been waiting for, since she released Endgame all those years ago. It's full of secrets, lies, and awful parents. I'm revealing no spoilers. But I will say, no one writes a book quite like Chloe Walsh. You know what she wants you to know, you work things out when she wants you to work it out, and not a second before. If you think she's going one way, she will switch it up and go the other! A pure genius in the world of mystery and suspense! Looking past the classic Walsh humour and one liners from all her characters, Molly and daryls story is so unbelievably heart breaking. They experience so much pain in their young lives, and even after being torn apart for so long, they find their way back to each other. They had to grow up very quickly, yet they are both so innocent and vulnerable. I have laughed, I have cried, I have felt it all. Another top read from this amazing author!
I k ow like everyone else that follows Chloe we were gutted the book release was pushed back due to covid however out lass has come through for us again with the release happening now and not in 2021 as thought and waht a surprise it was!
The book picks up from the end of part one big secrets, daddy warning our boy off and he tries but Daryl does what most men do and tries to ignore it and hope the problem goes away or fixes itself.
Clearly this doesn't work and it blows up like a volcano!!
But Daryl and Molly are meant to be together ans eventually they get their hea.
Daryl and Molly grew up together and he saved her life but their are a lot of secrets, guilt ans trauma that go along with it. Molly is scared both physically and mentally and never believes that the boy she loved as a child would love her now.
Daryl is amazing you can she his trauma and feel his heartache, how he was impacted from events long ago and how he had to continue to deal with them
It is still true chole style and the part about men getting periods is too funny.
Laughs and tears, darkness and light everything you expect from Chloe.
🇺🇸 The book felt unnecessarily long. There were many pages that I scanned because it was very extra and nothing in those pages changed the story.
Like a soap-opera extended. It’s good until people start putting extra episodes just for rating. That’s when you start wishing for the end.
Dylan and Molly are great and Rourke and Mercy are entertaining as hell, but everything could have been wrapped in one book (with lots of editing) and ir would have been better!
book two for molly and daryl. waiting game ended with a cliffhanger of “who started the fire” daryl and mollys dad both know. i think their friendship was beautiful and the banter and daryl just causally saying jokes about molly and being fine with it💛💛 he’s a good man. he sees molly. he wants molly. he’s keeping her. the surprise pregnancy is something miss walsh loves to throw in a book and honestly i’m not mad. the perfect childhood friends to lovers. i love all the ocean bay boys. i want more.
Quotes:
"Don't leave without me, 'kay?" I whispered. Daryl pulled me closer and pressed a lingering kiss to the top of my head. "I won't."
"I've been loving you longer than a long time, Molly Peterson. My whole damn life, to be exact. I don't remember a time when my chest didn't feel like this, when I didn't feel love for you. Nothing about the way I feel for you has ever been casual, and I don’t see that changing when high school ends."
This series is really slow but I don't mind at all. I really enjoyed it. I love Molly and Daryl a lot, one longer book would have been enough than 2 instalments.
But, I must say i'm confused on how Rourke and Mercy changed in this. Their dynamic was different than it was in their book. This kind of hateful push and pull that ended in sex was weird. Also when I read Molly and Daryl's story I realised how bad friend Rourke and Mercy were to him. There's absolutely no mention of Daryl's fucked up family in "Endgame" when Rourke thinks of Daryl as family and not just BFF. Still, they never talk about Daryl's hellish house. And Mercy is a passive friend to Molly.
I know that this series will never continue and I understand, but I would have loved to read about Amelia, Sophie, Mase, Bear and Reebo.
Once again Chloe Walsh took 2 young people and faves raw circumstances head on. This is the ending to waiting game, and you NEED to read that first. This lovely story of Daryl and Molly brings you through all the feels: hope, anguish, love, anger, and back to hope. Chloe mixed her awesome wit with a humbling and realistic storyline. You will laugh, and you will cry. You will smile with mixtures of Rourke and Six from Endgame, and their strange relationship. Read Endgame first before Waiting Game and Truth game...there are spoilers.
I like this series but they are always very short. From the very beginning of the book I was already hurting for Molly. She was already suffering from lack of confidence and Daryl denying her made it worse. Thankfully they got their freidnship back but I kept waiting on one of them to open up. When Daryl did at prom this was so everything! The secret that came out was horrible however I do get why no one told her. Daryl was only trying to protect her. I’m not a fam of high school pregnancy storylines but I still did enjoy this book and was hoping for Molly & Daryl to get their happy ending.

How can anyone not fall in love with Daryl King, he was so in love with Molly and willing to fight for her, a truly good guy and Molly was his other half his true soulmate. She was also a very strong individual to have survived what she did and come out the other side. I loved watching them find their way back to each other and I also loved seeing Mercy and Rourke, who were true friends to Both of them. I wish Daryl’s family would have got what was coming to them, but I was really glad he walked away from them when he did. I would have loved to have seen the wedding or how Daryl handled to birth of Sawyer, but overall I really loved Daryl and Molly’s story!
They are freaking fabulous. Amazing. Brilliant. I laughed. I cried. And I fell in love with this story. I would love to write an extensive review of just how good this series is, but I don’t want to give anything away. And the longer you read this review is the longer you take to decide to read it for yourself. So take my advice. Buy the book. Read the book. Then go and find every other book from Chloe Walsh because she’s ducking amazing and I flove her 💛
Another beautiful teenage story from Chloe. Deryl and Molly are very fragile characters, beautiful and complex and their story is sweet as sugar. In any other circumstances I would probably complained about the amount of sweetness in the plot but when it comes from Chloe it is so endearing that all I have to say is that it's heart worming, funny and touchy book. but... more from Mercedes and Rourke would be perfect... their endgame screams for more chapters... and taking into consideration that they are planning on going to Boulder.... we need more, more, more... please....
Molly and Daryl's story is a solid 4 star - possibly 4.5 The characters, the story arc, the issues were all dealt with in a way where you didn't want to put the book down. What held this back from a true 5 star read is the lack of emotions a reader would feel....it didn't quite pull on the heart strings and it didn't quite pull you in where you could truly feel with the characters. The 2 books were well done (book 1 was still quite a disappointment) and this story was done without feeling rushed. Again - the epilogue could have been better...
4.4⭐️ My biggest issue with this series is the endings being rushed both couples had potential to be 5 stars but the conflict came at the ass end with not enough time to work through it and end the story properly. That being said I fell in love with Daryl King before I even got to his book. I’m a sucker for a friends to lovers AND THEY DID IT SO WELL. Their vulnerability with each other was really refreshing to read. I will say some of the plot lines and characters are very BOT coded and I had a hard time not comparing them.
Another great addition to this series. Lovable characters and a story that captures us from the beginning is what we always get from this author in all of her books and this one didn’t disappoint. Even though it’s the last book in the series we always hope for more because we get so invested in the characters. Would highly recommend this series and this author!
Holy moly, I waited ages for Molly and D’s story, and I’m so glad Chloe wrote it when she was ready for it, as it was BLOODY BRILLIANT. Once again, Chloe has pulled at all my heartstrings with her writing. The storyline was fantastic, the characters fit well together and developed well. Both individually and with each other. And as always, the back up characters played a great part. I loved catching up Rourke and Mercy as well.
