Au XVème siècle, en France, la chasse aux sorcières bat son plein. L'une d'elles, Lara, alors âgée de seize ans, en subit la cruauté : elle est conduite sur le bûcher après avoir été torturée. About the author

Pat Mills, born in 1949 and nicknamed 'the godfather of British comics', is a comics writer and editor who, along with John Wagner, revitalised British boys comics in the 1970s, and has remained a leading light in British comics ever since.

His comics are notable for their violence and anti-authoritarianism. He is best known for creating 2000 AD and playing a major part in the development of Judge Dredd.

У середньовіччі її спалили як відьму, але в майбутньому вона переродилася і стала поліціянткою. Переродили її не просто так, а задля помсти. Мститися їй буде допомагати Ша, шось типу богині землі. Минулі кривдники стали у майбутньому демонами. Сам світ майбутнього - це нуарна антиутопія з дережаблями, релігійною пропагандою і вайбом Блейдранера. Намальовано дуже атмосферно та відверто. Малював Олів’є Ледруа, сценарій написав Пет Міллз.

У першому томі вбивають одного поганця та ганяються за іншим серед неонових хаців мегаполісу, де не видно сонячного світла. При цьому головна героїня ще не знає про своє призначення і навіть захищає поганця номер два.

Гріх на таке жалітися, але тут просто перенасичена деталізація. Порівняно з іншими роботами дуета Ледруа-Міллз тут все хай і максимально занурено у візуальному плані, але поверхнево у сюжетному: ось вам майбутнє, ось шлях помсти. Сподіваюсь, далі воно якось викрутиться.

An excellent and clearly well researched piece of writing. The art is exceptionally expressive although not clear in the storytelling in parts.

I really enjoy the premise, the characters, and the setting.

Some series start with the summit of the tale and slowly decline. Others require a little build up. This feels more like the latter. Albeit with a very exciting and intriguing start.

J'ai déja lu cette bd un certain nombre de fois.
Et si le scénario n'est pas exceptionnel (une histoire de sorcière qui se réincarne dans un univers de capitalisme décadent), le dessin de Ledroit est toujours exceptionnel. Certains décors vous sautent aux yeux. Certaines cases semblent authentiquement sortir du cadre. C'est fou. C'est Ledroit.

Art is great, sadly the lettering is a real problem with the placement of the word balloons and lack of tails making it it difficult to follow and also distinguish between narrative boxes and word balloons
