Monsters are real! All different kinds, all over the world, they have always been here. Sam Roberts doesn't have any clue what is waiting for him just beyond the edge of his property, deep in the woods of rural Texas. Something big. Something old. Something on the hunt. Sam is ripped from his life and thrust into the dark reality of the world that has eluded him his whole life. Their knowledge is vast, and they'll hunt down anything they come across. Killing monsters without hesitation. However, Sam is different and can hide his nature from them. Sam begins using his newfound friends to determine what he has been changed into while attempting to maintain his secrets from them. Will he get too close and tell them the truth? Sam's ruse grows to real feelings as he gets closer with Autumn, the daughter of this monster hunting family. Can he learn what he has become in time to save the people he cares about? What will Sam do when he discovers his true nature? What will the hunters do? What would you do?

Im not a big reader but I gave this one a shot after my brother told me about it. I think this was the fastest I ever read a book all the way through. I loved the characters and the story. It was new and different than the stuff out there in movies and stuff now a days. I hope there is another one very soon.

One of my favorites for sure. This was a totally fresh perspective for me. Now I have to hope I can find something to tide me over until the next one... Hopefully there will be one
