This book was fascinating and left me thinking about pollution and what we have done to this world. It also makes me think of ways to help earth and all its inhabitance.

While this book was written for children, to teach them of ecology and of the horrors of human actions upon the earth's ecosystems, poisoning food and killing life forms of all kinds, it is an excellent reminder to adults who read this book to children, or who happen upon it upon a bookshelf, by chance. It is a timely, well-written, must-read book. Brief,, and very much to a sharp, critical point.

One of my favorite books of poetry, perfect for middle-school-aged people and adults! These poems are concise & poignant, and covers the span of environmental issues: fur, poaching, conservation, recycling, deforestation, vegetarianism, etc.

I LOVE it and re-read the entire book every year before I use the 6 poems I've selected for the students.

The poems in this book are wonderfully written and help teach lessons of conservation, environmentalism, and animal rights. This book would be a great addition to an earth science teacher's classroom. Combining poetry and science - who knew?
