An exceptional story about a college student and the head of one of the Bratva families. They knew each other before since he was her brother’s best friend. Her brother is not in the country.
Her friend talks her into being a contestant for an auction for charity, the charity is for a date with the woman that was bid on. But as soon as she got to the bar that the charity event was being held she was thrown into a war that would change her world in every way.
She gets drugged at the auction event and her brother’s friend is there, he’s the one who won the bid on her. He takes her to his home. She tries to get away but he catches her, taking he back she’s kicking and screaming. They make love several times during the course of the time she’s there but they also fight a lot. She was attacked in her room by a thug that was sent to kill her but he killed the man before he could kill her. After that she had nightmares but after a while she got better. He took her to his shooting range so she could practice shooting.
He had his brother and their hacker trying to find out why they targeted her. They also trying to get information on the lady that the people that drugged her is suppose to align with. The woman that she met at the bar that drugged her was a twin, their part of another Bratva family.
He decides to go to Moscow with her and the hacker also with some of his men. He puts her in his bedroom so that he can protect her. They have sex but he won’t tell her his true feeling for her. He goes to a restaurant that the lady owns and finds her there, he wants to get her to break the alignment between her and the twins. He gets a call from the lady and brings her to his home, the woman finds then and gets upset. When he comes to the bedroom she winds up jumping him and he leaves the room going to another room to sleep.
She gets taken from the room and taken to a warehouse where the twins have her tied up to a chair. She know that he will come save her and that’s what the twins are planning on so they can kill him. She gets herself untied and after she grabs the twins gun and runs for a gap that’s in the wall of the warehouse to the forest that’s outside of the warehouse.
She runs until she hears gunfire, hiding until she thinks that all is clear she goes running back and the twin finds her. The twin has her on her knees when the hacker comes out of the dark and the twin kills the hacker. This gets her upset, she decides that she’s not getting killed so she fights the twin for her gun and she winds up shooting her dead. He shows up and holds her then he goes to the hackers body. The twins both die at the warehouse also several of their men.
They go back to Moscow so he can deal with some business. She pregnant and she wants the baby to know both of the countries that the parent’s are from. They go back to the United States tomorrow but he gets one day of rest before they go back. She’s out walking their estate and he comes out to meet her. She has learning Russian. They tell each other that they love one another. She brought him back, he was cold but she fought for him. They lay in the grass kissing her as he moves his hand all over her.
The characters are fantastic which is a great page turner. A steamy romantic happily ever after story.

J'ai passé un bon moment entre ces pages où l'on découvre l'histoire de Nathalie qui se rend à une soirée de charité qui tourne mal et qui finit par être sauvée par Ilya. Enfin sauvée c'est vite dit puisqu'elle se retrouve à être au final sa "captive". Elle va alors évoluer au cours de son séjour chez lui et découvrir le monde de la mafia, l'obligeant à apprendre à se défendre par elle même. J'ai apprécié l'évolution de son personnage et le fait qu'au final dans le danger elle ne soit pas l'héroïne sans défense qui attend d'être secourue, elle sait réfléchir par elle même et trouver une solution.
J'ai également apprécié le personnage de Ilya qui se retrouve à devoir protéger la petite sœur de son meilleur ami qu'il n'a pas vu depuis longtemps. On ressent l'envie qu'il a de la protéger vis à vis de son amitié pour le frère de Nat. Il a conscience aussi que c'est justement le fait de la connaître qui l'a mise en danger au départ et c'est pourquoi il essaie par tous les moyens de ne pas céder à ce qu'il ressent pour elle. Par contre je reste un peu sur ma faim quand on m'annonce un homme dangereux qui est respecté et craint par ses ennemis. En effet son point fort semble être plus sa compréhension des gens et son analyse des situations qui le rendent dangereux car au niveau des actes il ne m'a pas paru très convaincant. Peut-être aussi que c'est dû au fait que pour moi Nino et Remo Falcone restent les maîtres en la matière !

A good story for Ilya and Natalie
This is book eleven and I am reading this series. You don’t have to read in order to enjoy. This story is a good one about a young woman Natalie. She is helping her roommate by offering a date at a charity auction. It starts suspicious straight away. The roommate gets Natalie dressed up in a sexy outfit but she is totally uncomfortable and doubtful instead of feeling empowered. Second, the roommate allows Natalie to fall prey at the charity auction. Ilya and his brother Dom are leading their territory and don’t usually attend events like this, but out of the blue they received invites. There are some parts of the story that you just have to suspend reality to allow the story to continue. The twist begin there . . . . Read On!

Some errors in research on fire arms
You don't release the safety on a Glock. It doesn't have one. The trigger is designed as a safety in the pull. You don't cock a glock. You rack it. I've seen this type of error many times. Putting the wrong name of the person the character is talking to is a common error throughout this series of books . On a plus the story lines are good the the layers of the characters are well built.

the damn twins were annoying and so was Ilya. I liked their first meeting but after it just was meh. He was so determined to be like 'i don't love her' but clearly u do. bozzo. Natalie doing the most.

great reading, I promise you will enjoy it.
Loved this book, it has a bit of everything in it & will keep you on the edge of your chair. Always great a have a cliffhanger with a HEA.

intriguing story
Ilya & Natalie story had danger but also sparks between Natalie & Ilya. I am curious to see how Natalie brother reacts to their relationship. I wish that was included in the story.

Good Read
I so enjoyed this book.. I love how strong Natalie is. She might have started out weak, but she proved she wasn't so weak. Lylia he was tuff for sure. I'm glad they found each other. Ready to read the next one.
