Tony Hawk is a professional skateboarder and a gifted child, possibly the most famous. As a teenager, he won most of his skateboarding contests. He then started his own company called BirdHouse. He was born in 1968, in San Diego. As a kid he was very hyperactive and always in the mood to go outside and do something like ride a bycicle. On his 9th birthday, his brother gave him a gift of a skateboard. This changed his life forever. It wasn't really a long process for him to become a professional skateboarder, after two years he already got his own sponsor called Dogtown. After two years, he became a professional skateboarder. When he was about 16 to 17 years of age, he was considered to be the top skateboarder! He won many of his contests he had took part in around the world, more than 70. He took part in movies as a skateboarder aswell. But the population of skateboarding did drop and that's why he created his own company Birdhouse. Birdhouse succeeded because he showed the world how important skateboarding really is and he put it back on the mouth! He started a childrens skate clothing company, and in 1999 he produced many video games of himself as a skateboarder and an character in many of these video games for people to play. At the age of 31, he retired. This novel really shows who Hawk is as a person, how great he is. He inspires people to become like him and not to give up on their dreams and to try new things. I recommend this book to people, especially boys who like or want to start skateboarding and make it their all time job because you can get a lot out of it. And it's super fun to do.

I thought that it was a really good book about tony hawk. I know a lot more then I did before. that book inspired me to go outside more often and skateboard I loved it.
