Is it truly better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all?
I had finally created a family and found the love I had been craving for the past decade. And yet in a split second, I lost them all. Now I was stuck in limbo, trying to find my new path forward while also wondering if I would ever see my family again.
I knew the four men I had fallen for were fighting against the Darkness on Agrum Di Vinum, using their powers to fulfill the prophecy that had torn us apart. But as the months passed, and my solitude began to suffocate me, I couldn't help but could they defeat the Darkness without an Enchantress on their side?
This book is intended for those 18+ and older due to sexual content, vulgar language, violence and other mature content. This series is a college aged reverse harem meaning the main character will not have to choose between the love interests.
I don’t know what I was expecting but a four month time lapse from the end of book two until the start of this book. It caused the book to be stunted and awkward and it never recovers. I made it more than half way and I honestly couldn’t take it anymore. Like the second book, every single time there is the slightest progress in the story it has to stop for a sex scene. I mean if there is one sentence about some new advancement of the plot there is a chapter long sex scene. I wanted some content not just pornography.
I didn’t skip all the way to the end so I read the end of the war. Which seemed anticlimactic to me because I called it very early. But after the win, the ending and fifty eleven epilogues, I felt nothing but disappointment. After reading the whole series, this was the most disappointing book in the series.
SPOILER! Ok so I had to bring it down a star for the last book. I felt like it was lagging at times, so much so that I had to skip some sections and I would have still mostly likely still have it 4 stars. However I could no in good conscience keep it at 4 stars with the ending. * * * Like why did the author amputate Maddox’s arm off?!? Also after doing that they were writing the scenes like one moment he only had one arm but in the sex scenes or when the author describes what Madden is doing they still used hands and arms. IF ONE OF HIS ARMS ARE AMPUTATED WHY ARE YOU SAYING HANDS! The man only has one hand now thanks to you!
For an example this was in the epilogue: “Warm and rough hands reached for the waist of my pants, ever so slowly tugging them down, baring my legs to the sultry gazes in the room. In the next moment, Madden’s hands lifted the hem of my shirt, his hands grazing my skin.”
It says twice his hands not hand. What a major error and disappointment at the end of the book. I honestly should rate this lower since that’s a huge plot hole.
There is a lot of potential in the basis of the story but there are a lot of plot holes and errors throughout each book and the series.
Some examples Madden has a brother turning 20 in book two and his other brother is younger but then in book 3 they're 16 yo twins.
At one point someone has their arm super injured, then they're fully healed by magic, then it's mentioned that the arm was amputated then the next chapter they have two hands then the next they're "adjusting to life with one arm"
Like I don't see why they would've had to amputate the arm if they were "fully healed" by magic but if there is a reason then keep its consistent.
There are several other plot holes throughout the series but those are a couple no huge plot spoilers.
So happy I found this series! It’s now on my list of top 5 favs! I love the diversity of the characters. And the storyline of the Divines. Very unique. Also love that the author put in an extended epilogue showing what the characters lives were like after. You won’t go wrong with this series! Happy Reading Friends!
I loved this series. It was definitely worth reading and listening to. Even as the first books by this author they were well thought out and very little plot holes. I know as more books come she will only get better. I can't wait to read whatever she writes next.
Yep, this is a keeper series. I loved it so much, and I love how the author wrapped things up at the end. Told in multiple pov, we see the culmination of the plot come to a head. It wasn’t too heavy, but it was action packed, and a great read.
Once I got into the story I couldn't put it down. It was fun watching the characters develop and realize their potential. The POV's at the end brought a great conclusion and HEA. I look forward to more from LE Smith.☺️
Found this hidden gem of a series and read all 3 books within 3 days. I thought I had the villain figured out from book one only to be surprisingly wrong! Love a good twist 😆( though there is more than one) good series, so pick it up and read it already!!
That was one crazy ride . I kinda wonder what happened to her dead beat dad oh well lol hopefully nothing good. I’m glad everything went their way even though they had a few bumps along the way.
This was a very enjoyable story. I this LE Swift wrote an interesting, entertaining and suspenseful story with characters I truly enjoyed reading. Thank you LE Swift for writing and I look forward to reading more of your stories.
