Frank Hunter takes a wrong turn down a dark, winding road and finds himself in a strange, silent town that seems to exist only in his dreams. Then he meets a beautiful young woman who shares those dreams--but in hers, Frank is marked for death.
I was fully expecting this at some point whilst reading the series, a book of the same level of quality as the front cover and its origins suggest it should be.
This is by far the worst of the book. The story is mediocre (like nightmare on elm street mixed with Blair Witch) and the writing is even worse. This isn’t scary, or tense, the scenarios are very repetitive (someone is crying in the woods then the woods shift and look different about 40 times!) and the ending is too neat.
Recommended?: if you were going to only pick the best books from this series then this is certainly one to avoid.
Nice and scary! And the presentation is enough to make you doubt all those who say none of the Blair Witch legends are true. Despite the story being retold in a full fiction format, it gas that taste of truth with the notes and emails. And even though I started on #4, I don't feel as if I've missed anything.
