Neptune, by Paul Fleisher, is an information book with a lexile of 570. By the lexile number it is clear that this book is best suited for upper elementary readers. Due to the fact that it was an information book there was not a main character, but the main subject of this book was Neptune, the planet. The setting of this book varied from the actual planet of Neptune to here on Earth as if someone was looking at the planet. The plot of this book was to tell the reader all about Neptune. The author described the history of Neptune, how it was found, whom it was found by, what it would be like to live on the planet, how and why we are currently studying it and the solar system in general. The main ideas of this book was Neptune, the solar system, science, and exploring. I would recommend this book because it was a great and easy way to learn about one of the planets. My personal reaction to this book was that I never knew so much about Neptune before.

Concluding Statement: Knowing the planets is important to everyone.
