Streamliner Memories

Rate this book
Rail photographers are usually train their photos are exterior. Riders wallow in the nostalgia of the rooms, dome cars, diners; but few picture histories cover the interior. Schafer has done riders a great service here. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)

In this book, author Mike Schafer describes his trips aboard streamlined passenger trains from 1964 through the start of Amtrak in 1971. It also contains photos taken by the author and others. There are streamliner tales by personal friends of the author ( Mike McBride, Joe Welsh and two others). This book is the perfect companion to Schafer's book with Welsh, Classic American Streamliners. I really enjoyed reading the author's tales!
