The Omega Connection (Tracie Tanner #3) by Allan Leverone may be book 3 and I had not read any of the others but I didn't get lost. Now that I have read this one, I want to read more! I love books that have a kick-butt female lead that is snarky, smart, hard to kill, tough, beautiful, and the underdog. She faces all kinds of obstacles but keeps on ticking. There is adventure, suspense, touch of humor, action a plenty, and more. This was a fast paced book and was never dull. Great plot, characters, and dialogue. Hope to get time to read more of Tracie.

Poor Tracie. She seems to get the dirtiest jobs out there. But you have to laugh at her dialog when she's taking care of business! The General surprised me the most. He didn't really seem to mind doing what Tracie wanted. But I'm glad she got out of Cuba in one piece. An excellent read and can't wait for more stories about her.

Take one disgraced Black Ops warrior, toss her in with Cuban Freedom Fighters nursing a grudge, and you end up with a page turning story about a woman named Tracie Tanner. She’s full of chutzpah and seems to make a habit out of shooting off her mouth and then busting up the bad guys.

Tracie’s pretty, she’s smart, she’s GI Joe Barbie with mad fighting skills and a can-do attitude.

Leverone writes in an engaging style that had me rooting for Tracie from the get-go. I found this book and author through the Kindle Scout program, and I’m glad I did. This book is part of a series, but it read well as a stand-alone.

Bay of Pigs, and 27 years after.

CIA Black Ops specialist Tracie Tanner after Omega 7 psychopath. Only two people know her and doing what are President and CIA chief. Again in this book she is very strong female character. Cuban Freedom Fighters didn't get the help USA promised and they are full of revenge. This book and all the others written by Allan Leverone must be read.

A good action filled novel.

Becoming a fan of the author reading all of the books in the series in order. Some of the things Agent Tanner does may be a little unrealistic, but they make for exciting reading. Recommend

THE OMEGA CONNECTION is fast moving mystery with suspense, intrigue, and non-stop thrills at the turn of every page. Leverone takes his reader on one adventure after another when he gives an opportunity to shadow his main protagonist Tracie Tanner from the time he introduces his readers to her. Readers learn details about Tanner’s CIA history. They learn she is a Black Ops Specialist, who reports directly to CIA Director Aaron Stallings.

Leverone involves readers in story development of THE OMEGA CONNECTION, giving them details about the dangers Tanner is facing on her assignment to either capture or kill an assassin. The author makes sure readers know how resourceful Tanner is regardless of what she encounters as she pursues the answers she needs to fulfill her assignment. Tanner deals with an attack on the streets of Washington D.C., an assassination attempt of an executive who she is to protect and transport to Director Stallings, a betrayal in southern Florida almost costing Tanner her life, and her pursuit of her target into the Everglades.

Readers immediately find Leverone’s protagonist is operating alone with no backup, knowing as a black ops agent if she disappears or dies the CIA will not come looking for her. It is life as she doesn’t exist. THE OMEGA CONNECTION takes readers on Tanner’s non-stop activities as she travels from Washington D.C., to rural Virginia, to Havana and back to Florida. When Leverone develops Tanner right before the readers eyes, he keeps his story moving at lightening speed. His readers are wanting to know what is going happen and how the intriguing spy story going to end. Leverone’s OMEGA CONNECTION is a must read and earns a 5 star ranking.

This book starts off with a bang and never quits. The author has done an excellent job of developing a strong main character in this intense Cold War spy thriller. She is a one-woman dynamo, previously fired by the CIA, who is now working secretly as a lone black ops CIA agent on a very dangerous mission. The thrills never quit as her mission takes her from Washington DC to Miami to Cuba and into the Everglades where a large alligator is the least of her worries. Once I started reading this book I couldn’t put it down. I just had to see what was going to happen next. This book is jam packed with adventure, thrills, and danger. I would love to read more about Tracie in the future. This is a must read.

The Omega Connection is my first exposure to Allan Leverone’s special brand of suspense. With Leverone's gift for developing characters like this novel’s multi-faceted sugar-and-spice-with-an-edge heroine, Tracie Tanner, I’ll certainly be back for more. The Omega Connection raises the bar on action-packed adventures!

From the first chapter, the reader gets the sense that, no matter how bleak a situation looks, Leverone’s woman of steel will always land on her feet. Tracie Tanner's resourcefulness and quick wit is wonderfully addictive. The Omega Connection is the perfect blend of edge-of-your seat suspense, thrilling adventure, and wonderfully addictive characters.

I received this book through a Goodreads giveaway.

There are different reasons to read different books and if you're looking for a deep, enlightening read, this isn't the book for you. As a fast paced, entertaining and mostly fun time, this book can qualify. There's no time for involved character development and, really, there's no need. The story moves at breakneck speed to let the heroine, Tracie Tanner, get all the kick-ass action in she can. She's driven to succeed and she gives it her all. I enjoyed the book for what it was and if you want a fast paced, kick-ass heroine in an easy, entertaining read then this is a book you could enjoy as well.

In a whirlwind of action, Tracie Tanner, the kick-ass, whip-smart, tiny (but go ahead and try your luck taking her down), innovative CIA agent follows her crime leads from D.C. to Miami, to Cuba and back again. This is an all out sprint of a book -- an "I'll forgo sleep; I need to know what happens next" page turner (Kindle swiper).

I picked up the series on this book, and it was an excellent stand alone. But I'm enticed enough to go back and read book one.

This was a cool espionage thriller set in the Cold War era/Reagan administration. It was a time when technologies we take for granted today, such as consumer grade GPS navigation and cell phones were only a futuristic promises. This was a refreshing new story predating the war on terror and a look back at the days when communism was the threat, and not religious extremists. All of this made for an enjoyable and book, and something I would highly recommend.

This book #3 in the Tracie Tanner series starts with a bang and never slows down. Her investigation this time takes her deep into the Everglades, which tests even her amazing skills. Her adversarial relationship with the CIA Director Aaron Stallings is very entertaining and leaves me cheering for her to get the best of him. Heading off to start book #4!

Fast paced spy thriller, really good. Loved Tracie Tanner and look forward to reading other books featuring this CIA operative. Only thing I kept looking for throughout the book was re-appearance of Marshall Fulton as we are introduced to the Data Analyst in the beginning of the book. I kept waiting for his re-appearance or at least his CIA assistance is some fashion to help Tracie.
