Georgene Lockwood is an author, jewelry designer, educator, and advocate of self-sufficiency. She has published 11 books, including the bestselling The Complete Idiot's Guide to Organizing Your Life, and has worked as a freelance writer, copywriter, journalist, and public relations specialist. Through Sylvana Vintage Designs, she creates beaded flower jewelry and bridal accessories. She has also taught gardening, food preservation, and self-sufficiency, drawing on her experience as a Master Gardener and certified herbalist. Lockwood has served in community organizations in Arizona, including the Yavapai County Community Emergency Response Team, and has been involved in the Prescott Victorian Society. She holds a BA in English and Journalism from Western Connecticut State University and has also taught journalism at the college level.
