When fall arrives, the harvest colors of the season are on display! Color can be found everywhere, in pumpkins, acorns, and of course leaves that are soon to drop from the trees. Using sight words and simple sentences, early readers are shown the colors of the rainbow, and then find each color of the rainbow as the book progresses. Contains large, readable text.
This is a very simple book to be read to your earliest listeners. There are lots of colors and there is no storyline. It's basically like an ABC book for colors; "Red is for apple," that sort of thing. I only rated it three stars because it doesn't seem to be very creative. The first couple of colors relate to the title, to fall, but the author seems to have run out of ideas for the last few because they start to become random. Also, the book ends with "Happy Halloween," which is random as well, considering there was no other mention of fall holidays and the title is "Fall Colors," and not just Halloween. It's safe to say I didn't really like the book.
Filled with photographs and colors (red, brown, green, orange, yellow, purple and blue), this simple text for very beginning readers encourages them to associate the color words with objects in nature such as BLUE BERRIES and an ORANGE PUMPKIN. Paired with the other titles in this series, this title will help young readers associate colors with different seasons.
