"Counting in the Grasslands 1-2-3" is a counting book with a savannah animal theme. Children will enjoy looking at the photographs of various animals of the African veldt. The series is ostensibly about counting, but the titles in the "read more," section all focus on animals and biomes. The inclusion of a counting book would round out this section. With a word count of 23 and only 23 pages (ten of which are photos), an index scarcely seems necessary.The suggested websites do not include a counting website. Although the book features African grasslands, one of the websites links to the Missouri botanical garden, which freatures a North American grassland biome.

I like realistic pictures with counting books, however, I would probably use slightly different pictures.
