I remember the mini series Shogun when I was a kid. A couple of years ago I read the book, just before the new Shogun series came out. The book had me pumped for the new series. It was great. With that I continued reading the series. These books are all great!!! I have enjoyed learning (I know it’s fiction) to some extent the culture and ideas of Japan and China. Ok. Back to Noble House. This book is an 1100 page monster! It was great. Loved it. Clavell as in the rest of the series gives the reader so much detail. If you don’t like long books Clavell is not for you. But even if you don’t the storytelling is fantastic.
