Shaheed-e-Insaniyat is an excellent book that I would highly recommend, especially to youngsters. It is written from a very balanced, non-biased perspective and answers many of the “whys” behind Karbala, why it happened, what truly took place, what led to those events, and who must be held responsible.
During the month of Muharram and Safar, I dedicate my time to studying Islamic history, and this book has been one of the most valuable additions to my collection. Many of the events I had always heard about are presented here in a completely new light, supported by authentic historical references.
It is such a powerful and enlightening read that I would even encourage my Sunni friends to go through it and share their thoughts with me. Truly, a must-read and a great treasure for anyone seeking to understand the reality of Karbala and the mission of Imam e Hussain A.S!
