Mel Bay was an American musician and publisher best known for his series of music education books. His Encyclopedia of Guitar Chords remains a bestseller.
Technically, I'm still mucking about with some of the exercises in this book. In particular, the last few pages covering harmonics and artificial harmonics. Also, perfecting some of the exercises, especially a few famous ones by Sor.
As with the previous volume, it's a mixed bag. Some things are explained in detail, others, not at all. This is likely because it's assume that the student has a teacher. (I'm going the self-taught route.) Since I have loads of prior musical experience, I can figure things out (or do the Google thing), but for someone without other resources, this method book could be a bit frustrating, maybe(?).
