Zane and Grey met during one of their nights out at a bar, and immediately, there was an undeniable attraction between them. They might have built something together, at least until they both found out they were attending the same school—him as a student, her as a teacher. Right away, Grey puts an end to what hadn’t even fully started, refusing to go any further with Zane, even though he’s completely crazy about her.

I almost stopped the series when I realized we wouldn’t continue with Cadence and Dutch’s point of view. Even though their romance took three books to fully develop, I really enjoyed reading those books from their perspective—it was great. So, seeing that this book focused on Zane and Grey threw me off a bit. But I kept going, and even though I struggled to get through it, I still enjoyed reading their story.
Overall, I enjoyed the book, but not too much. I had a hard time getting back into the story.
