Respected Prophetic Leader Offers Biblically
Grounded Predictions for What Is to Come
R. Loren Sandford has long been internationally respected as a grounded
and insightful prophetic leader. A regular writer for "Charisma" magazine's "Prophetic Insight" newsletter, he has cast a poignant prophetic vision for Christians everywhere during these uncertain times. Using Amos 2 and 3, Sandford presents detailed predictions of the days to come. He reveals the pattern of indictments and penalties leveled against Israel back then that mirror America and the Western world today.
Yet within his sober reflection, he reveals the heart of the Father and the hope of glory for the body of Christ. With clarity and piercing biblical insight, he helps believers understand what is to come, and he gives them practical advice on how to prepare spiritually--for the events that will unfold and for their role in all of it.

this unusual viewpoint often rings with truth

As one with a little experience in this area, I can recognize many of the points of wisdom found within. This book deserves prayerful consideration.

With the rise of many false teachers and prophetic claims , Sandford’s book provides clarity on why interpretation ,prophecy and healing is driven by following God’s heart . Emphasizing why this should not be based the whims and fancies of church leadership and misguided predictions done for personal gain.
The book helps us see what the future holds from a biblical perspective and enables us to understand our role and how we need to prepare ourselves in order to be ready, using our time and gifts judiciously. A required read even though written many years ago , still relevant and important.

Having studied under Elijah House Ministries, I have had the opportunity to learn under Loren Sandford’s teachings back in the mid-90s. He comes from a spirit-filled family and ministry that ministers healing through prayer counseling, where repentance and forgiveness are key. He, of course, has moved on to become a pastor and called into the prophetic ministry.

As the book covers states, “R. Loren Sandford is internationally respected for his integrity, accuracy and insight, casting a poignant, detailed, Biblically grounded prophetic vision for the future.” However, he considers his role as a pastor who loves people and longs to see them live well in the Lord Jesus Christ comes first over being a prophet. But he uses his prophetic gifts to prepare his people to grow, mature and be ready for what is coming next.

I will say I definitely have some issues on his interpretation of some of the events/people involved, but that is not the crux of the book. There are many different interpretations, and he states that he does not claim to have absolute accuracy. All he asks is that we have an open mind, which I’ve done.

What Loren does do is the exciting part of the book! He exhorts, corrects, disciplines, and teaches about what we need to do to be ready for in the coming days–the times before Jesus returns. He knows difficult times are coming, but he also points out the great opportunities we have to witness and bring others to Christ.

Loren seems to be ‘hard’ on the America churches, but after reading how many churches are going astray from the cross of Christ, His resurrection, repentance, and salvation through Jesus alone, I can understand his pointing out heresy and false prophets. And he doesn’t even touch the tip of the iceberg.

His loving heart is like a father’s heart (actually the Father’s heart) in wooing us back to the Lord. Repentance and humility with love seem to be the dominant themes for us to return to and seek God’s heart.

He sets out three different parts in his book. Some of the titles sound easy to figure out, but Loren has deep, rich, meaty concepts that he shares. You won’t want to miss any of them:

Setting the Tone: Having God Heart; God’s Heart Revealed; Toward a Genuine Revival
The Days to Come: The Days of Amos Revisited; Five Years to Prepare; Repentance; Revealing the Sons of God; the Final Invitation: Revelation; Signs of the Baal Spirit; Strategic Prayer Fire; The Cloud of Glory Has Moved; The Great Apostasy; The Samson Generation; Revelation Events Foreshadowed
Short Themes: Islam; A New Jewish Exodus; The Looming Threat of War; More on America

He charges that the Church at large needs to wake up and be ready to help others when the difficult times arrive. To do that, some repentance is in store, as well as moving out of our self-centered mode of thinking. I prefer him ‘saying it as it is’ than beating around the bush. Sometimes we need that charge to get us up and moving.

Loren’s book, Visions of the Coming Days, is not a hyped up, cataclysmic book to tickle our ears and instill fear. Knowing the background of Loren, he is one to listen to and learn from. His message of getting prepared is real and necessary today. Prayer will be a vital part of how things transpire, and the Body of Christ needs to get in touch with the Father’s heart and will for each of their lives through prayer. Time is short.

I did find parts of the book hard to understand, with the cohesiveness shy of making sense. But the meat of the book came across in a very clear manner.

Our world is in a state of trouble. Times are more uncertain now than ever before, and things seem to be getting worse by the minute. A time when everyone throws caution to the wind, and does whatever they want to do with reckless abandon. This book not only points out visions of the coming days, but provides scripture to support the author's prophecies.
It was hard to put this book down, and it kept my full attention. It's not a book you want to read unless your ready to think because this book will make you think, pray, and crave more all at the same time. It will open your eyes to things you have often wondered yourself, or things you couldn't have even comprehended on your own. To put it mildly it will tingle your reader senses!
It's well researched with a blend of biblical history, personal experience, and eye-opening prophecies.
In this ever changing world this is a book I would recommend to any Christian to keep rooted in your faith. Once you get into reading you won't be able to put it down. This book will have any Christian or non-Christian examining their own personal relationship and thoughts on God. I loved the fact this isn't your typical read, but is something where as you read you feel as if you are included in a discussion that is invigorating. The author keeps with you the entire way through and I never felt lost or discouraged. I did find myself putting this book down often and just thinking before picking it back up and reading some more.
This book doesn't feel like a lecture, and is easy for any adult reader to understand. I am even going to recommend it for further reading to my church reading group so others can enjoy.
I love that this book is not just a book you can read, but study and discover your own insights which you may not have even thought you have. This book even points out that rather than point the finger at some individuals and condemn them, maybe we should just pray for them. They need prayer as well, and as all of us get from time to time maybe they are just a bit misguided.
I felt invigorated when I read this book, and I urge my fellow readers out there to give it a try. We do most definitely live in uncertain times. Nothing is certain in this world besides God, and this book will make you take a step back and take comfort in the fact that no matter what God is by our side. It will also have you taking a look at your self, and will definitely have you wanting to better yourself as a Christian.
This book prepares us of what is to come, and the author provides insightful advice as if you are talking to an old friend. We all have a role in this world, and we all have a role in what is yet to come. We cannot change the things that are to come, but we can be waiting to help any of those who may need it.

As in the days of old, revival is a necessary element for Christians. Creating the right environment for revival will require the dedication to unite believers to grow churches.

Some key points of the many discussed in length include (in my own words): How history will be reintroduced and play in a part in the days to come. How practices in the age of ancient cults are being implemented today. How the modern church abandons scripture. How does the book of Amos relate to our world today? A host of many other topics and prophecies are introduced and backed up with bible verses. Some exposure, with the authors prophecy, to the book of Revelations and what heaven is like.

This is an eyeopening, thought provoking, realistic and not to be overlooked read that is backed up with scriptural references. With vision, understanding and grace the author discusses historical facts coupling with what he knows of the coming future. The more I read the more I wanted to continue. About midway through the book it was impossible to put down. Answering some of the questions I have recently thought about ie: what is universalism and who goes to heaven, and also the mark of the beast. Reading this book challenged my faith and I became more aware of different signs to look for in the times to come. I would recommend this book to others. I received this book for free from Chosen Books for my review.

Very good

Very good

The author I have never heard of before writes from the Fathers heart, I have just read what I have sensed in my own spirit for many years, and as a Pastor I have said many of these things to my congregation, in order to prepare them for what lies ahead. I commend Bro. Sandford for writing what was on his heart, and for his scriptural accuracy

Even though I do not agree 100% with everything in this book, I do agree 99%, which means I can certainly recommend this book.

It contains lots of insight into Bible prophecy, about 70% of which agrees with my own interpretation which will be published in a few months. So I was shocked and delighted to see that he had that much insight into the last days.

This book is very insightful of the state of our lost world and sadly how the state of the church has become more like the world and less like God.A wake up call for sure. Accurately prophetic.

Well-written and interesting, but I disagree with some of the author's conclusions.
