Hell to Slay was an exciting conclusion to Mel’s Vampire Coven series - action-packed and spicy. This story will grab your attention as we are thrust straight back to the cliffhanger ending of book two, and then the pace never lets up. So much is revealed in this final book that it is hard to put down. Ultimately, the coven gets their HEA, and broken bridges get mended.
I loved Nico’s redemption arc and how Traci made Jax’s responses to Nico’s reconciliation efforts seem genuine. Bravo to having a character actually stick up for themselves and not just immediately forgive and forget. It was one of my favorite parts of this series. We aren’t supposed to have a favorite in a Why Choose, but Jax has been mine since the beginning – his HEA gave me the greatest satisfaction.
The spice was high in book two, and it is ramped up even higher here in the series’ final book. Now that ALL coven members are blessed with the orgasmic vampire bite, sex is guaranteed at least one happy ending – though they never stop at just one. They have embraced coven life with MF, MM, MFM, MMF, and MMFM pairings, and Mel finally gets her twin sandwich.
This has been a great series to follow. I look forward to more from The Infernal Rending universe to come.

This is the third and final book in Mel's Vampire Coven. It brings even more heat than the previous two books. The development was incredible from Nico to Mel and her relationships with all her men. This wrapped thing up really well while still leaving room for expansion in the form a spin off.

Mel's Vampire Coven concludes with the third book, Hell to Slay. Traci has frecking done it this time. So much steam, betrayal, romantic drama, murder, shocking reveals, hellish beasts, and plenty of battle scenes. Hell to Slay was out of this world!
Mel is a freaking vampire and it's awesome. She was already a kickass warrior whose soul-purpose was to protect people but now she's even better at it. Mel has evolved, she's outgrown her prejudices and is enable to embrace her vampire nature, training and developing her new strengths. She's still the same old Mel but Mel 2.0, she's a happier version of herself thanks to the vampires in her life.
The coven as a team of warriors works great, as for the personal stuff, there are still some kinks. Okay, there's one kink and his name is Nico. Nico has let his fear rule him for so long and it's making things difficult for the coven. Somehow Mel manages to break through to him, there were lots of apologies and forgiveness to go around. They still have to work some stuff out but love is all around and now Jax is the most adorablest he's ever been and if you couldn't tell, yes he's my favorite 😍 out of all of them.
Back into the Infernal realm, they go with the cutest little familiar ever who just so happens to have a great sense of humor. Seriously, there was a scene with Tempest when Mel was training, it was hilarious, Mel's reaction was priceless 😂. Mel and the guys go back to the Infernal and face off with a bunch of nasties and while there the biggest plot twist was dropped on readers but really I wasn't surprised. The signs of something were there but still. The biggest showdown of course happens between exes and a lot was discovered but the coven comes together and gets the job done with the Wildes coven as backup.
Wow! What a perfect ending. Hell to Slay was pure chaos from the start but that ending took the cake. The characters either got what they deserve or deserve what they got and Mel and her coven got their happy ending, there were some real (steamy 😉) interesting times at the end. It was good to hear from the twins' cousins, Ichiro and Jiro, they had something really interesting to say and it looks like Traci might have some plans for them. I look forward to more stories from the Infernal Rending Universe.

I loved the way this story is.
It's action packed and spicy!

Traci is a very creative writer, and I have so enjoyed reading Mel's tale. Its been exciting, scary, hot, both in the literal sense as they are fighting in hell and in the bedroom scenes. Wow, those are some erotic get togethers between Mel and her coven. The story is wrapped up nicely with a new and the possibility for us to see th gang in another story in the future. No promises from anyone, but I can still see it happening.

I have to admit the series got better the further I read. It was an interesting take on Vampire\witch stories with covers and dark realms of Hell thrown in. I liked the world building, the magic elements and the take on vampires vs blood suckers. All in all not a bad set of books that I would recommend even though getting past book 1 took a bit of patience for me.

this book is soooo good! the smut is there and the plot is definitely there too. this series officially is in my top 5 favorites.

This is the new title of 'taming old flames', same book but now expanded and even better than the first. So my review of 'taming old flames' still stands but this one has a far more satisfying tying up of loose ends. We hear more about La Cora and Cyrene, how they are dealt with and how toxic they had become. The battles with the infernal realm are better and very well described.
The sex between coven mates is still as hot, hot, hot. He book is definitely over 18's only, you may want an ice cold drink to accompany you as you read this to keep you cool! So read my review of the first version of this book and the consider it now in high definition for this book. He same book just better, if possible!

This series was a hot mess and an incredible read. I laughed, cried, got angry, and felt hopeful and experienced love in this epic series. Mel's vampire coven comes in a full package of witches, demons, vampires and lots of steam.
The world-building is great and so are the characters. The main characters and their relationship develop throughout the book.
What I loved about Mel was her ability to accept that beliefs were wrong, accept them, move forward and correct her actions. She took accountability for her past actions and proceeded to correct herself. She was a kickass queen who took down everything threat in her and her coven's way.
Mel's coven had Hudson (Mel's Ex), his twin Jackson (Jax) and Nico (Jax's ex).
Hudson was Mel's ex who disappeared on her without telling her why. The angst these both had was perfect to read about. I liked how they took their time forgiving each other and coming together.
Jax was the sweet sunshine of the group with a troubled past. His relationship with Mel was so sweet and a balm in all the heat going around. His relationship with Nico was damn messy and they took full 2.5 books to solve their mess.
Nico was a grumpy bodyguard with a penchant for non-commitment. Sometimes he was an alpha hole but he had his reasons. Moreover, he grovels so well, so I had to forgive him for badly treating Mel and Jax. His obsession with Mel was delicious to read.
One more thing I liked was that every main character was in their 30s, which I don't find in many RH books. I loved every second of reading this action-packed dramatic plot-driven book and the characters.
Spice rating -5🔥
The series was more plot-driven but the spice scenes were spice af. There was a big mistake Mel committed while getting intimate with one of her coven mates that had me throwing the book across the room, I was so embarrassed for her.
But aside from that, the spice was very well written and detailed. Book 1 had less spice but books 2 and 3 make it up for the lost time.

Jax was the sweet sunshine of the group with a troubled past. His relationship with Mel was so sweet and a balm in all the heat going around. His relationship with Nico was damn messy and they took full 2.5 books to solve their mess.
Nico was a grumpy bodyguard with a penchant for non-commitment. Sometimes he was an alpha hole but he had his reasons. Moreover, he grovels so well, so I had to forgive him for badly treating Mel and Jax. His obsession with Mel was delicious to read.
One more thing I liked was that every main character was in their 30s, which I don't find in many RH books. I loved every second of reading this action-packed dramatic plot-driven book and the characters.
Spice rating -5🔥
The series was more plot-driven but the spice scenes were spice af. There was a big mistake Mel committed while getting intimate with one of her coven mates that had me throwing the book across the room, I was so embarrassed for her.
But aside from that, the spice was very well written and detailed. Book 1 had less spice but books 2 and 3 make it up for the lost time.

REVIEW:
This was definitely the best book of the trilogy, which is good because it finished a lot stronger than it started.
A big part of that was Mel being so much more likable now that she's set her insane prejudices aside.
There were some moments when Nico and Jax's self loathing internal monologue got to be grating. But once they finally got past that, I really loved to see how the whole coven finally became united (and stronger) together.
But as much as I did end up finally liking the coven, what made this series was the world building and overarching plot. It was really intricate and fascinating.
And I loved how nicely everything wrapped up in the end. We get answers to a lot of questions about the threshold and even some lingering questions from Nimue's book (like the voice coming out of the threshold and what happened to her mother and her mother's coven mate). Everything wrapped up so nicely and it was a very satisfying ending with no loose ends that I noticed.
I am curious about Hudson and Jax's cousins (Jiro and Ichiro) and the potential story setup about them. I hope that the author will come back to their story in a future book.
Overall I'm very happy I decided to continue reading this series after not liking Mel's first book very much. The series got so much better and I'm glad I stuck with it. Goes to show you that sometimes the first book in a series doesn't always determine what the whole series will be like.

This one has the same issues as the second book for me, but I was so far along that I wanted to finish and see what ultimately happened.
There is too much telling vs. showing. Spontaneous "fixes" where someone brings new info to the page and the explanation is something along the lines of "oh, I learned this a long time ago, but I'm only bringing it up now," but it feels too thin to really be believable and hold the story together. There were too many scenes retold from multiple POVs, which was boring and also caused the tension to fall apart, and made the beginning much slower than it needed to be. It was fun to read about Mel being turned into a Vampire and the immediate consequences the first time. By the fourth time, I was rolling my eyes and skipping entire sections to get on with it.
The action sequences again have no real tension or emotional follow through, so you can completely skip them to the part where the villain starts his evil monologue and it makes absolutely no difference. The foreshadowing with some of the plot points in this book was far too heavy and made it obvious how things were going to wrap up.
Most of the spicy scenes have gotten mechanical by this book, and have lost emotional oomph--and the emotional oomph is what makes good spice.
It really feels like the author had a good idea and the time to write book one fairly well, and then just rushed to finish two and three and didn't have the same kind of time or craft dedication.
Not sure I'll read any of her future works.

Traci did an amazing job in ending this third and last book. I'm sad it has ended but it was incredible. As i said before it is a crossover between charmed and buffy the vampire slayer. You get sucked into this world and you never wanna leave. In this book they are figuring out how to deal with almost everybody being against them, for mel to figure out how to be a vampire, how to love eachother and be with eachother and ofcourse how to slay the demons.
I loved reading how their relationships progressed during the three books. How they get thrown together and have no choice to being absolutely in love with eachother and would give their lives for eachother. The tension between them is amazing. The action in this book is next level, it was just simply put incredible. I love how the guys interact with eachother, how they try their best in their own ways, overcome their own demons ( past) and then there's Mel, she's freaking awesome. She's such a badass who has overcome so much in her life and is still fighting for what is right. It was amazing to read about how she goes from hating vampires by not being told the truth as they used her to fighting for them and then becoming one herself and how she starts to accept herself.

Vampire Coven
Hell To Slay is the final book in Mel’s Vampire Coven and there is A LOT happening!! La Cora and Cyrene continue to cause chaos even as they are politically hindered (I’m not ashamed to say that I cheered at the Karma that was dealt). Because dude did those 2 make me wanna throat punch with “Lucille” (a little Walking Dead reference lol), IYKYK 😆
Now that they are a complete Vampire Witch coven, with their powers doing unexpected awesomeness, they head back into the Infernal Realm to take out Andras/Ty and hopefully close tear between the infernal realm and their own. There’s more action, more smexy times 🥵🤯, and more forgiveness and love going on. My only complaint was that some of the backtracking at the beginning of chapters when the POV changed, was sometimes a little annoying. But that’s definitely a “me” issue lol
I’m excited for when she begins writing the cousins story, Jiro & Ichiro 😬♥️

With the twist and book 2 to Helen back I had to get book 3 period so much have been revealed. I needed to know more.
A theme through all three books is that occasionally I’ll have to look up a word, but that doesn’t bother me. It mostly has to do with English not being my first language.
More truths are being spilled and things are getting steamy. All we needed was for two characters to finally make up.
The way their relationship develops is so good. I enjoyed every moment of it!
The plot didn’t go exactly as I expected as I thought they would have stayed in the infernal realm for much longer. Instead of going in, coming out and going back in.
The tension when they go back into the infernal realm is insane they are all worried about each other. The devil is one son of a bitch and those bitches from the DHA finally get what they deserve.
And Mel Hudson Jax and Nico getting their well deserved happy ending.

Final book to conclude Mel and her guys adventures and what a book it was. Filled with action, awkward conversations as well as some heart to heart ones, spice (everyone gets creative with their magic), some well deserved answers as well as dishing of revenge and justice. In short, the book is packed with everything you’d want and maybe even more!
And that possibility for a next boom featuring Jiro, Ichiro and their girl? I’m stoked! I really need it to happen!
I loved that there was communication (albeit some was well overdue) but they discussed their plans (majority of them) and acted as a unit. There was some reckless behaviour but it was kind of talked about prior. I honestly enjoyed the whole series, and will probably give a go to Traci’s other books sometime in the future!

The story picks up where book 2 left off. The story ends well and pretty much everything is resolved. The coven gets their HAE. There is setup for a spin-off though. Overall a good trilogy. I found the demon-vampire-witch connection unique.
Pros: Everyone worked out their issues and they become a happy coven family. The world was also very interesting. A few details probably werent needed (sacred holidays/different types of magic... but there are details on all of the world-building in a reference section)
Cons: I still don't get the need for all the politics. Seemed overly complicated. Still a lot of repetition in my opinion. We know why they do what the characters believe what they do but it seems to be repeated... a lot.

This entire series is amazing. The author is sure to fill in any missing information if you don’t start at book 1 though. This author paints a fully realized world of witches, vampires and demons oh my. I’ll forward to reading the prequel of her mentor finding their coven. It will tide me over until the author finishes the book I can’t wait to read, when Jax and Hudson’s twin cousins find their own unusual coven.

Great series
I really enjoyed this series, I loved the way each of their relationships formed, and the way they all slowly bonded together. I think my favorite person was Jax, he was the one who loved everyone enough to bring them all together one by one despite the Issues they all had. There was a lot of fighting action and a lot of sex, if explicit sex isn’t your thing then this series isn’t for you. I loved it so I definitely recommend it to everyone.

Good but rushed..
I loved the first two books but this one seemed rushed and put together. Everything was more fast paced and around 80% I was done and skimmed the rest. When she collapsed at the end that when I started skimming. Not sure why I didn’t like it anymore. It just wasn’t the same.

Great ending!!
Love the entire storyline!! Mel is a great strong female character, supported by her equally strong guys, Hudson, Jax and Nico. The story gets you a bit on edge through out, with all the bumps they run into along the way, but its worth the ride!! Good spice scenes, but not a lot 😁🔥

Witch, Demon or Vampire vs Devil
With Mel and her coven merge to face off against the devil himself that was trying to take over Charlotte.. they find out to share all aspects of themselves they become more. What an excellent RH series.

Absolutely loved this series. Hot coven scenes (very descriptive) and Demon hunting and getting justice for Vampires in a world where they are not regarded as good. The books are fast paced and the characters are great. I was fully immersed from beginning to end.

What a series!! Hot, hot scenes and demon hunting. What a combination!! This series is so good from beginning to end. I was immersed in the books from beginning to end. Loved it.
