The head of the NY Bratva dragged me into his mansion and forced me to marry him. He’s the biggest enemy of my Italian Don dad, and much older than me. He says he’ll make me his mafia bride, to fully possess my curves. I should run, but the next thing I know…he’s got my belly growing with his heir.
I walked straight into his hell, and he took his chance. His white shirt is stained with blood and his hands are red and strong. He says he’ll protect me against my abusive family no matter what. He says he’ll cripple anyone who comes near me or his baby.
I did not want to be here, but at night I find myself in his bed. His possessive hands claim my bruised curves and make me beg. Beg for things I thought I didn’t want from the merciless Bratva. Beg for things I dare not speak out loud in the daylight.
Will the Bratva daddy claim his princess and his baby?
The Bratva of New York are the most ruthless, merciless and possessive mobsters of the city. They take what they want, break what they please, and heal what they deem worthy. But will they take the biggest risk of open their heart for the one they’ve claimed?
It lost stars as some things changed. Some parts were hard to follow as it says one thing one time. Like she’s an only child, but there is a line later that says her brothers never gave her anything and other changes about the characters.
Was an ok read but there was just was something missing.. she’s an Italian mafia princess assassin who has always been used by her father and always wanted his approval because she’s the only child and a girl. She goes to the enemy for help in killing her father after he tells her she’s to marry a man 3 times her age.. Andre is Russian bratva her next target and her hopeful saviour. Wasn’t sure to start with if she was an assassin her self or she just entrapped people and let her fathers men pull the trigger 🤔. Adrienne ends up in a forced marriage with him and isn’t allowed to leave, obviously they end up in love all works out and she does end up being quit the bad ars.. not interested in the brothers enough to continue either of their stories though.
The book was a good read until the end. For the majority of the book, the main characters were married, and the main male character had already told the female character about his relationship with her mom. However, in the end, suddenly, they are talking about getting married and only being engaged? Their is a scene in the book after the female character finds out about her mom that she is then shocked about the information even though she was already informed. It felt like the author was trying to rush through finishing the book at the end and didn't read through her manuscript to see that it was super confusing. I'm not sure after that big of a switcheroo in a book that I'm ready to read another of her books.
Think author forgot that she already had a marriage scene earlier in the book…nothing unique or spectacular from 100’s of books written by other authors….kind of boring….cliche OW, preggo, and trying to kill her. At beginning of book did not like FMC at 60% personality flip flop…
I think an AI might have written this one, it follows a certain formula, but it's like the author was confused on the purpose of this story? It's supposed to be based in modern times in NY, USA. But there is no electricity or running water in the dark castle her 'papa' lives in? Also, they reference temp in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit which is a non-US thing. Some of the plot is weirdly described, there is a crazy amount of detail in the oddest places and the context is all over the place. The main female character was just confusing as hell. She's a badass who assassinates the enemy (Russians), her father abused her, boils her feet for hours, and whips her back because she's his only child and is not a boy. But then she talks about her brothers not helping her? Also, the tone and writing is just all over the place. It's just a disjointed book.

I really wanted to like this book. I finished even though several continuity issues came up early on. While the storyline idea was great, it was not the executed well. For example if Adrienne is 21, how is Isidor 3 years older than her but 7 years younger than Dmitri? Several things like that thru the book. The author also needs some work on transitioning. The storyline does not move smoothly from one situation to the next.
That being said, I think there’s a great deal of potential here and I’m sure I’ll read the authors next book to see improvement 🙂
This is the first book in the series and the first time I have read a book by this author. It is very good, the plot and characters were very well written and developed. The h is the daughter of the H’s rival, she wants to kill him and her father. She has been physically and emotionally abused by her father. The H is a mafia boss who wanted her, he forced her to marry him. There is violence, explicit sexual scenes but the book is really good. They found their HEA. Great ending.
Member of issues for me, neither him nor her are likeable in any context, they hate each other pretty much the whole way through, the relationship between the 2 is pretty violent / toxic and there are a lot of unresolved questions or things brushed under the rug which needed to be expanded or explained. The end showdown with her papa is really underrated and disappointing, it feels almost like an afterthought……
I’ve read plenty of this author-but this book was a hard no for me. 80% through the book and the mmc decides he’s too infatuated with the mfc and “entertains” another woman in his hotel room while he’s out of the state for a week. To help him not be so infatuated…🤷♀️ Then there is the fact that he’s a sex trafficker-he confirms it near the end of the book. Probably should write this one first because this is a HARD NO in general. 🤢🤮 Disgusting. Pathetic. Revolting. Now this author is on my do not read list.
Was this book written by a human? I swear there were so many times where the sentence just made no sense at all. Also, he forced her to marry him at the beginning of the book, and then I guess they forgot and got engaged again after finding out she's pregnant. The fmc is also super inconsistent in how she deals with things. It feels like an assignment that was due, and somebody just threw words on paper.

The concluding part was great but it could have been written better. A lot of things did not add up one minute she wants to kill him and the next they just fall in love and miraculously she is pregnant from being kidnapped, the story is all over the place. Also his brothers did not like her but didn't do much to make their brother fix up. Would have been a great story but it felt rushed.
Absolutely fantastic read. Adult only book. It's very graphic and has scenes that may cause triggers in some people. Not at all what I was expecting, but in the epilogue, I think the author missed a trick. I won't ruin it, but what I thought would have made the ending for me just punch a little more.
I enjoyed this story. Adrienne is a kick butt heroine. She is tough and ruthless, when called for. Lots of action and steam. Details are graphic. I like the plot and characters. No cliffhanger. I feel the ending was a little rushed. The epilogue is okay. I will be reading the next book in the series.
The Russian Bratva and the Italian mafia. I loved the characters. I loved the plot and storyline. I loved the back and forth dialogue. She is feisty. He takes her in to help her. He decides to keep her, marry her. Kidnapped her.
Wow! Alexei and Adrienne what a star crossed couple! This story has it all! Betrayal, deceit, death and hot steamy sex! Warning though, this story not for the faint of heart. Gritty, raw and five alarm fires to set the heat between Alexei and Adrienne! Believe me you WILL NOT be disappointed!!!!
This is the first book that I have read by this Author and I enjoyed reading it. The way the characters were written allowed you to be able o visualize them in your minds eye. The storyline was the usual for a Mafia, Brat a book but it didn't deter you from wanting to read how it all played out. Enjoy the book, I did!!!
I don’t know, this book is just a lot of blood letting, violence, and all the gory stuff just to make it a mafia trope. I don’t see the love between Andre and Adrienne also. Especially since Andre almost married her mom before she was even born. He has her tattooed on him too. So,,,that’s so inappropriate to now be having a thing with the child of your lover. Hence their age gap. It just doesn’t sit well with me.
This was an intense story with compelling characters and a sense of delicious danger. I enjoyed the small details and the hotness between the primary characters. I am voluntarily leaving my review of this ARC.
This was a sexy, suspenseful, lovely story. Deva Blake is now one of my favorite writers. She made this story so great I can’t wait to read the next story in the series.
I really enjoyed this book. Have to say that Adrienne was a spit fire. When it came down to it, she was no coward. Andrie he was a strong leader. they was perfect together.
I guess because I’ve read a ton of enemies to lovers with a mafia story, I was expecting more. I just feel it’s okay. It’s dual POVs with an epilogue. I did find a couple of errors but nothing that would interfere with reading the story.
These guys don’t believe they know how to love, until their world is turned upside down. The female character is a bit of a mess, for someone as bad ass and caring she lies to herself often. I often wonder why the female character doesn’t just stay silent while giving a death glare, being more observant and weighing all the information.
This was a really good book. Not a lot of sex. I am glad Adrienne had her happy ever after. Plus her father was not in her life. She ended up with true love.
