The Little Book of Alarming Things

Rate this book
The Little Book of Alarming Things contains 14 short stories to astound and amaze you. From the wonder of childhood fantasies to the horror of facing a villain of your own creation The Little Book of Alarming Things is indeed strange and unusual. One part horror one part sci-fi and all parts weird The Little Book of Alarming Things is visionary artistry that could only be written from the psychadelic and absurdist mind of Whitney Moore.

Contained within are some stories that have been published before and some all new ones never before released. These 14 short stories explore everything from ghosts and the inner world (The Graveyard, Chapter 14), to the horrors of the modern world including what can happen when you try too hard to love yourself (Glass Houses), There's even a modern take on an old tale (Asleep and Sleep) explored two ways.

About the author

Whitney Moore

Whitney Moore is an award winning indie author of multiple sci-fi/horror/comedy novels and short stories. If that's not enough she also holds a degree in graphic design and holds a world record in most things (one of those is a lie). Her books include a sense of whimsy which she puts in there to distract from the fact that she is from North Carolina instead of England. Her work has been called imaginative which is ironic because that's what she was going for.
She has joined two cults one of which has been immortalised in her 2nd novel (Youth For the Mission). Her third novel is about cupcakes (Cupcakes and the Centre of the Universe). She is also the author of multiple short stories exploring everything from life in space to what it would be like for a writer to encounter a villain of his own creation. Enjoy the show.
