Yes, he's gorgeous.
And we're in a hotel.

His suite has a bar. Damn… Why did I say yes?

Writing has always been a big part of my life. Since I was a child I've known exactly where my passion lay. No matter what's gone on in my life writing has been my touchstone. After all, we all need a place to escape to. Reading is my idea of heaven. There's nothing I like more than to switch everything off, close the bedroom door, and curl up with a good book. I have a feeling that's something all at Goodreads can identify with.
Thanks for taking the time with me today. Now do something for yourself, go and curl up in your own reading heaven.
Scarlett Finn is a new author in my library. This is the very first book of hers that I have read and, without a doubt, her name is now filed under my auto-read authors.
𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 is the eighth book in the Nothing to.. series. I may have started at the wrong order but the way the story was written didn’t make me feel left out or missing out on any sort of information.
This novella is written very well! I was gobbling it up and finishing it whole in one seating. Definitely delicious. This is the introduction to Rylee and Jamison’s story. How they started and how they come to be. Their banter and flirting got me giggling like a teenage kid. And let’s not forget about the tropes in this story! Very promising! <3

Nothing to This Prequel: One Wild Night – Nothing to… #8 – Review
Author: Scarlett Finn
Couple: Rylee & Jamison
Tropes: interconnected standalone, spicy novel, one night stand, surprise pregnancy, office romance, second chance
Review: This is the prequel for Nothing to This and it is single POV. It is short, spicy and high intensity romance turned enemies. I enjoyed the way Scarlett created the backstory for this couple and found myself looking forward to the novel coming.
Rylee is a hotshot employee who is tied to Jamison by her twins. The way Jamison’s family surrounds and supports her is an area that I am looking forward to in the next book for them and I cannot wait to see how the bond between her and his sister grows. I also loved seeing how his mother moved her life to support Rylee.
While short, this book sets up the plot for the novel really well. The two of them are polar opposites and I admired how strong Rylee’s character was written. I found myself enjoying the way she denied all Jamison’s requests and survived on her own merit and determination. I also liked how Jamison’s sister made him see reason and take responsibility. I found the dynamic the four of them have to be entertaining and a bit confusing but I think it will be expanded upon well in the book coming up. One thing I did enjoy though was the bond he had with the twins, even if we do not see much of his POV in the prequel.
This book sets up a ton of conflict as well. The main area I am excited about is how Rylee and Jamison will deal with being coworkers. I am curious how the work relationship will go and how much Rylee will fight back. I am excited to get their whole story and hope to see a huge redemption arc for Jamison since he seemed to be so much better when we met him at the beginning of the prequel compared to the end. We end on a huge cliffhanger and I am on edge with what book 1 will kick off at…especially since now Rylee is debating quitting her job.
Rating: 4/5, an intense and short prequel to Rylee & Jamison’s story!
Nothing To This: One Wild Nightby new to me author Scarlett Finn is the Prequel to Rylee Hampton and Jamison ‘JD’ Dawes full length story yet to comeNothing To This.
This short, quick read laid down the foundation in setting up Rylee and JD’s story. In this novella we see complete strangers Rylee and JD have a one night stand, only to walk away the next day. However that all changes when fate decides to turn it into something more than they could’ve comprehended 6 months later, bringing them back into each other’s lives.
Scarlett did catch me off guard with the prequel being told through 3rd POV, something that was unexpected with not being the biggest fan. However that didn’t deter me, since the story was good in keeping me entertained with pushing through. The introduction gave you enough of a solid story that it had me wanting more by the end. Especially given the great characters of Rylee and JD. They kept you interested from not only learning about them and the type of people they were. But also from seeing their interactions within their time spent together. Plus with the twists Scarlett threw in, changing their lives in the biggest way possible, it did have you even more intrigued and curious to see where it would all go from there.
After readingNothing To This: One Wild Night, safe to say Scarlett Finn definitely has me excited for Rylee and JD’s full length bookNothing To This,to see what will happen between the two and where their journey will take them.
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

😊What i liked -
✔ One Night Stand/Accidental Pregnancy/ Workplace/Second Chance. ✔ I liked Rylee as a character. I liked how she stood tall despite the difficulties. ✔ I had a hate and love kinda thing going with Jamison's character. ✔ I loved Jamison's family though. ✔ This book was a nice short, light and spicy read that (hopefully) leads to an entertaining full fledged book.
🤔What could have been better -
✔ Cliffhanger and I don't get along well. (it puts my kindles life at risk)
✔ Verdict is still pending for Jamison's character. (hope he redeems himself)

Thank you, Scarlett Finn and Literally Yours PR, for a copy.
A fast and steamy prequel with One Wild Night as Rylee ends her long day at a convention with a quick drink in a hotel bar. Enter the handsome stranger and, after a couple of hours of getting to know one another just as things are getting noisy, instead of the usual chat up line of “come up and see my etchings” she got “come up to my suite and see my bar!” Well what girl could resist an offer like that. Unfortunately for Rylee what should’ve been a one night stand has nine month consequences.
This did exactly what a great prequel should do and that’s wet the appetite for the upcoming main event, in this case Nothing to Miss. Right now I’m on the fence about the hero but I have high hopes that Rylee will soon whip him into shape, after all the chemistry was already there between them, he just needs a little training.
I loved this prequel! It was the perfect introduction for the Nothing to series where we get to meet Rylee and Jamison.
What started off as an insta-lust one night stand, quickly turned to more since fate had other plans. Rylee and Jamison were just having fun one night after a tech conference and decided to go their separate ways even though Jamison wanted to see her again. Now it's 6 months later and fate has a twisted way of reappearing in their lives.
I love how bold and independent Rylee is. She doesn't need a man to help her and will gladly keep doing things on her own. And Jamison aka JD may seem overbearing and rude, but it must come from a good place....right? But either way I know I'm going to love these characters and can't wait to read the rest of the series!!
Sometimes you just need a quick, spicy, insta-lust, age gap one night stand read. And One Wild Night (Prequel to Nothing to This) by Scarlett Finn certainly delivered!
Jamison/JD & Rylee gave instant chemistry, banter, & heat. Their ONS is equal parts hot & sweet. But what happens when 6mos later, an unexpected surprise brings them back together? It’s painfully obvious that JD doesn’t know what to do with himself…and I’m going to guess that he used/s work to distract/protect himself. Definitely a great pre-cursor to the upcoming full length story. And one I’m definitely looking forward to reading! Gimme Gimme Gimme!
I absolutely loved this prequel. Introducing Rylee and Jamison to the Nothing to series. I just loved the way that they met at the bar, and didn't know anything about each other apart from the fact that they both were attending the same convention and seemed to instantly click. One thing led to another and after a few drinks they end up back at his suite for more drinks 🍸 and you can guess the rest. They go their separate ways. But it seems that fate has other thing's to say about it. This book is definitely a great read 📚 and one I'd recommend as you get to know Rylee and Jamison and how they met before you read their full length book ❤️❤️📖
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
This is a prequel to Nothing to This. It is a quick read and the story of Rylee and a one night stand that will change her life forever. She is at a convention and after a really long day she stops off at the bar in the hotel. When a smoking hot strangers comes into the bar, they have a getting to know you conversation for a couple of hours and he ends up asking her back to his suite to see his bar. I loved getting to meet Riley and read about the night that changed her life forever. Now I can't wait to get the full book.
This introduction to Rylee and Jamison was fast and unexpected. One wild night, no strings attached leaves them with two very unexpected surprises. Twins. Rylee, having no family at all, will do anything for her in utero babies including letting Jamison know it really is no strings attached, he does not have to be involved at all. Jamison throws lawyers on the case to keep it hush. What happens when this billionaire meets his babies in the hospital? Who knows? Ends in cliffhanger… nothing to this out in January!
Quick read. Flirty, sexy and spicy. 3rd person POV.
This novella starts off with a bang! Very quick read, short and not so sweet but a little spicy. I know this is setting up for the full novel, which is a second chance romance, but it still made me mad. Well JD made me mad but still 😄 this definitely just gave you a little taste of Rylee and JD and makes you want more of them. That's exactly what you want from a prequel so the author did great on that.
This book is a prequel and gives you some insight to rylee and Jamisons ‘wild night’. With some spice included. But what happens when there’s an unexpected twist??
I actually kinda like their relationship that I’ve seen so far. You don’t see much into it as it’s a prequel but from what I’ve seen it seems quite nice 🥰
I want to thank Scarlett for allowing me an arc to this book I’m so grateful and I believe that people will like it more than me 🥰
This is a quick read prequel. Rylee meets a sexy stranger, have a few drinks, and share a steamy 1-night stand, before going separate ways. I look forward to reading more of Rylee and JD’s story. This is a well written short read romantic novella, which is entertaining, unpredictable, and a steamy page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Holy smokes! I am hooked on Rylee and JD! They have an intense meeting, with more than just heat, they actually talked, got to know each other a bit. There was a connection there. I loved this prequel to their story and can't wait for more!
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Wow what a prequel! I can’t wait to see where the book Nothing To This will take us! This prequel really gets you interested in the story. It’s the perfect appetizer to intrigue your pallet. My only qualm is that I have to wait until January to find out what happens with Rylee and JD
Nothing to This Prequel: One Wild Night by Scarlett Finn is book 8 in the Nothing to... Series. This is the story of Rylee and JD. This was hot start to their story which started as a one night stand. But we know how those one night goes.
Thank you Literally Yours PR for the e-arc. All opinions are my own.
This was my first book by Scarlett Finn, and I really enjoyed it! It was a fun, quick paced, spicy look into Rylee & JD. I really love Rylee, and I'm hoping that JD will grow on me more in Nothing to This!
Rylee and Jamison...I am on the fence about him. I understand Rylee isn't really "holding" him to any expectations, but Really Man>>get your act together.. I have a feeling the actual book for these 2 is gonna want to make me either throw it or cheer them on. I can't wait! LOL
